OR tied BGA today, not Houston. Score was 1-1.

OR beat Houston yesterday, 2-1.

OK, thanks, I was trying to switch from e-mail to Eurospit, to posts on Coacht. Multi-tasking for me is using soap in a shower. Thank the Lord that's only once a week.

MVM-now that's funny, I don't care who I am. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

Baylor 0 Ravenwood 0

I heard that Ravenwood played 10 players back.

Bearden 3 Holy Name (OH) 2

Ravenwood was playing fairly defensive anyway after a sluggish game against ND but this loaded up defense was when the ball was in front of our goal. Any one not expect their mid's to come back and help in that situation. Pretty good game by both teams.

FYI.....In the State quarters 4 years ago Baylor did exactly a full team defensive press and was victorious. Was it pretty, was it great soccer, NO, BUT it worked and we road a sad bus home. I watched BGA score a goal to put them ahead of Jackson Prep and immediately go into lock down. Does #12 play D, I don't think so, but she was the driving force to get the ball away from any scoring opp. Now that might be protecting a lead, but the scoring options were tossed to get the W. Baylor managed to score on a corner kick when playing a total prevent defense and take the more offensive team out of a chance to advance four years ago and I think they played smart. Talent is great, but knowing how to play the game at hand is brilliant. Ravenwood could loose the game or tie. Good soccer or great coaching?????????????

You make the call, Ravenwood did not lose and Baylor did not win. Soccer IMHO is strategy and about NOT scoring. It is a defensive game. What sport says. WOW!. They were 0-0 after 90 minutes. Why should Ravenwood not go home victorious with a tie? IMHO, it was a moral victory.

    • And yes, in 2010 Clary/Scott Monger got into it with a R’dale fan. Well, mostly Monger lol. I think the fan took a swing at him. It’s funny as all get out listening to it on the replay. Scott told the guy to sit his a** down. Lol. That wasn’t the only time SM got into it with an opposing team. Seems like he got into it with someone at William Blount one year. He was an OG lol
    • Nope, they knew lol. He was just one tough hombre. Played right up to near the end of the Powell game like that and we almost won. I think they beat us, 21-17. Was a valiant effort on his part though.
    • No, that was in 2010. We played them in the quarterfinals in ‘11 the year I’m talking about, but we got hammered 35-14. 2010 was a fun year though. Played Maryville in the semis and gave them a really tough game for the majority of that game, but their depth eventually wore OR down, 38-21. Bradley had a few awesome runs in that game. He was a stud. Nothing fancy, but like I said, a mini Tebow. Would keep that read option up the middle and pound that tater in there. He was hard to bring down. Probably went for 195 lbs, if that.
    • Gibson County will be good next year as well. The five girls that didn't start last year are all solid and we have Micah Hart's sister coming up this year. We  will be very competitive especially late in the year. May lose some this summer getting girls reps and trying to figure things out but we are going to be good.
    • Dyersburg will be really good for a while. Their JV is loaded as well. South Gibson ought to be much better with four really good players coming up from an undefeated  Jr. High Team. Also will have 3 players back from knee injuries last year. They will be a handful especially late. Dyersburg District right there with the Upperman District with quality teams.
