I saw Coach Johnson from Vanderbilt and an unidentified Clemson coach here tonight. I guess as the season goes further along we will be seeing more and more big name coaches walking the sideline. Good game tonight guys !!

Keep it up !

there were also coaches from an unidentified high school team there as well doing some scouting. a tall blond guy with another shorter brown-haired fellow. they had white shirts with orange stripes and a paw print on them and were standing over by the entrance to the home-side track rope (side 1). edit: probably JCM.

as for the game: way to win BIG RED, but there were a few times we needed some WD-40, esp on defense. a big shout out to Marsalis as the recruiting coaches were most likely looking at him. that 90+ yard run didn't hurt either. keep on rollin'!

I was at the Henry Co. v. Treadwell game last nite. It's the first time I've seen yall. Henry Co. has an incredible team this year. I really dont see anyone stopping yall until you get to the Boro....there Maryville will be waiting. If yall make it to the Boro this year, I plan on going. I'd love to see Teague and Allen against a great team like Maryville. BTW, yall have a huge line as well, and you have other players with speed and talent. That number 40, I believe....Fentriss, or something like that....a running back.....he looks good. I really enjoyed my trip to Henry Co. last nite. My son and I had a good time. We did leave at the end of the third quarter though. Nothing more for us outsiders to watch at that point.

BTW, we sat on the Treadwell side. They had maybe 8 fans....all the rest were either Henry Co. fans, or outsiders like us...just there to watch Henry Co. and the three....Teague, Allen, and Sims. Yall had a tremendous crowd.

Great game Patriots! Way to keep the focus on the game during a week that was most certainly distracting. Offense was clicking again, the machine keeps running smoother and smoother. Keep it up guys! On defense, there were some bright spots but I'll have to agree with chaos001 in that it looked a little sluggish out there at times. I know you can't be up all the time. Just be on your guard. Treadwell had some talent on offense. I liked the fact that they never gave up and kept plugging away on offense. Just a few key players away from a really good offense. On defense they were completely outmatched by the Big Red Machine. Now its on to JCM. Another Region 7-4A game. Keep focused guys!!! Great job and lets keep this train a rollin'!!!

Roll Red ROLL!!!

    • One final thought. Coach Keith claims he was not aware of the player's failing grades. I won't comment on that, just to say this, IF he did not, whose job was it to see that this kid did not play ball at CHS? That person should be looking for a job and they might be, I don't know.
    • They have fired the principal, 2 teachers, at least 1 counsellor and 1 coach so far. I don't see it from my view in Oak Ridge as a coach thing, he  was just implicated in asking 1 teacher to  fix 1 kid's grades.   In our local media(Clinton and Oak Ridge)the principal is who is the originator and pusher of the fraud. The others are peripheral. The coach isn't even the big story, just here on a sports site.  The media view is the principal did it to cause CHS to be seen as excellent by the state. He committed fraud to do that so he might spend a little time in jail IF that is valid.
    • And from coach himself, he wasn’t told he was let go because of the ineligible player.    that’s just what the schools needed to happen to fit their bull
    • Wish it was made clear before a coach gets let go or not retained instead of being sold as the reason he was in trouble. I was told the kids who got grades changed, 97% or better were non athletes but the coach is taking all the heat so the schools can pretend it wasn’t their job to know. heck, what do you think could happen when you hire husband and wife as head principal and head guidance….   that’s not being said though…
    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe.  Last time I came up there to watch my pirates one of those guys in that pickup trucks flattened the tires on the lawnmower.  This is payback.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
