Did they represent well? I dunno.... we traveled to Prattville to watch the game, only to get hung up in traffic just outside of Nashville for two hours arriving at the game with three minutes left to go in the fourth quarter. I did not get to see the game and do not get ESPNU to record the game, so I have not seen it. 26-0 sounds like such a lopsided score, I'm just uncertain how the score could be so heavily favored for Prattville and that BA could still represent well. Obviously, we were disappointed in the loss, but it sounded like Prattville was lightening fast and that they truly lived up to their reputation as tops in the nation.

They played very hard, and for the most part well. They played a clean game. They aren't gifted with an even average passing attack, and that hurt them very badly. However, they never quit, and worked hard to the very end.

In short, they gave it the best shot they had, and played in a gentlemanly and dignified manner. Yes, they represented us well.

I went to the game and would agree with KWoodroof's assessment. The score at half was 10 - 0 and the 10 points came off of 2 BA turnovers which both left Prattville with a very short field. I felt at that point if BA could correct the mistakes they might make a game of it (although I wondered if we'd find the end zone vs the Prattville D). The second half was more a story of field position (dictated by Prattville's D), a BA D that spent too much time on the field, and a "Sportscenter" style punt return.

While I'd have liked the score to be closer, I didn't leave feeling that we handn't represented ourselves well -- just that we'd been beaten by a better team. I know we'll face some tough competition down the road, but I'm not sure we'll see a D of that caliber.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
