This weekend, Germantown Houston travels from Memphis to Chattanooga to play against Baylor and Notre Dame. Both games are being played at Baylor.

Germantown - Euro Ranked #5 in AAA/ #8 Overall

Baylor - Euro Ranked #1 in D2/ #2 Overall

Notre Dame - Euro Ranked #1 in A/A, #6 Overall

Games are Houston vs. Baylor on Saturday at noon, and vs. Notre Dame on Sunday at noon.

Any predictions?

ND 2 Houston 1

Baylor 4 Houston 1

Scores could swing in Houston's favor if the center ref is not consistent and stong enough to keep the game under control.

Why is Notre Dame playing one of their home games at Baylor?

Good question. It was originally scheduled for Sunday at 2:00 at Notre Dame, but we're told that the game had been moved back to noon at Houston's request (which makes sense since they have a long drive home after the game). The same message said the game had been moved to Baylor, but not why. It's speculation, but it's probably at one of the coaches' request. Asumming we will be able to play on the primary Baylor field, it's a much larger and wider field than ND's field.

I don't think the girls really care, but it was one of only 4 home games this season (out of 16 scheduled games). With it being a Sunday afternoon, student turnout would probably be low anyway,

Thanks DonCChatt for the info. That makes sense about the field situation. Baylor's is such a nice complex....wish the Owls had something close to it. Why did ND only have 4 games scheduled for home out of 16 games? That is a bummer for your fans and players.

Back to the original post.....here is my prediction

Baylor 2

Houston 0

Notre Dame 2

Houston 1

Good luck Baylor and Notre Dame

If you think it is to get Notre Dame from its "Home Field Advantage", consider this:

1. Notre Dame does not practice at school, instead practicing at Redoubt Soccer Fields

2. At this point in the season, Notre Dame has played two total games at Notre Dame -- the Alumni game in the preseason, and a single game two weeks ago against Signal Mountain

3. At this point in the season, Notre Dame has played 4 games at Baylor (Hutcheson, JPII, Ensworth, and Baylor).

You could certainly argue that ND is comfortable playing at Baylor.

Look on the bright side....ND saved some money on paint this year. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
