CSAS has a tradition of winning and confidence on its side as it heads in to this season. Four strong seniors will be counted on early with all the "baby patriots" maturing as the season progresses. A slower start is possible, but don't be fooled because there is a whole lot of talent on East Third Street!

the baby patriots lol

So no scrimmages?

CSAS?

Sale Creek?

South Pitt?

Anybody? Lets hear some results- who did you play and how did you look?

SPitt is still playing football.... don't suppose they would be scrimmaging too much and if they did, you couldn't get a good feel for their team this year.... Most of his better players are playing football..... he does, however, have a few secret weapons working in the gym right now though...... /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

After Saturday there won??™t be anymore secret weapons. All teams play in the Region 3A jamboree hosted at Signal Mountain. The JV teams, both boys and girls will be playing today starting 4:00pm est. The Varsity teams will play Saturday starting at 3:00pm est. This should give an indication of what the teams have. Of course the exception being schools that still have football going.

If you??™re interested in these programs this is a good opportunity to see them all in one location. Plus you will get to see the new school and their facilities. If you go I would like to hear your opinion on how the facilities stack up to the rest of district and region.

The only team that South Pitt would surprise would be CSAS since they have beaten every other team over the past several years. Beating Grace or Temple would be the "surprise"!

Speaking of surprises, I heard yesterday that Silverdale has a new 6'8" kid playing for them this year who wasn't there last year. It is always a "surprise" to see how the Seahawks attract kids to their "academic" program who also happen to play football and basketball and can afford a private school education!

I think the 6'8 kid that you're referring to came from Ringgold.

After watching the first half of the season, looks like it will come down to Temple, Grace, & CSAS again with Grace and CSAS in another region semi matchup. The big surprise is that CSAS/Grace matchup is closer than I expected. Especially, since CSAS lost 7 seniors and Grace is returning everyone.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
