Ooltewah vs Heritige

HornedOwl... Will the band be coming to Heritage? What was up with the second quarter arrival Friday night?

 

Did anyone else feel Bradley conceded the game at the begining of the 3rd quarter? They took #5 out from running back and only used one man to cover two receivers. Hopefully this week we will air it out long at least once during the game.

 

Go Owls.. I'll be there. Any suggestions on where to eat before the game?

 

 

Apologies from the band. We had our first competition on Saturday and practiced Friday night. Do to some problems Friday night was the first time they were able to do a complete run through of the show (and they still won their class). Couple that with the construction on 75 and they were not able to get there until the 2nd quarter. The pep band will be at Heritage Friday night and the whole band will be in force for the Farragut game.

 

Now let me tell you about a true star. We had a girl blow her ACL out in the first minute of an eight minute show. To make sure she did not let down her fellow students she finished the show and had to be carried off the field directly to the hospital where she was put in an air cast.

 

I can't wait to see a game again having missed both Maplewood and Bradley my football juices are running low. Go Owls and let's take it all the way to the Boro.

I don't believe Heritage has ever beaten the Owls since this region was created. Ooltewah will have far more athletes. It should not be a competitive match up. I'm not trying to be mean spirited, but this is the worst AAAAA team in east Tennessee.

 

 

 

It must be hard to watch football games so high up on the Ooltewah perch. I don't think that Heritage is the worst team, they have a number of good athletes. If they ever put a whole game together they will be able to compete with any of the teams in this region, that would include the owls.

i agree heritage has a few great and several good athletes. including michael cermak, eric costner, jesse dixon, jared price, clayton shell, amdy eldridge, and kenny ervin. its just a matter of putting 4 quarters together.

Sorry to hear about the girl's misfortune and way to go with winning the competition. Hopefully you all will put on a whole show at home for the Ooltewah crowd. For some reason it just seems like every year the band gets farther and farther away from performing at football games. I guess that is a director decission. I know they work hard to get ready for competitions, it is ashamed they don't get to show off their hard work on Friday nights. Glad to hear there will be a pep band going to Heritage. It just adds to the overall atmosphere of high school football.

 

As far as the two posters below you... no doubt any school that has enough students to be 5A should have plenty of talent to choose from. Ooltewah is blessed as most of our bench could probably start on other teams(so I hear... they do not ever go in though so I wouldn't really know) but we have yet to put together a complete game package.

 

Hopefully we will see a good game Friday night... gas is too high to travel that far and not have a good game.

Since I have not been to the last couple of games, I cannot comment on what we need to work on for Friday night. From what I have read the D seems to be clicking although I did hear that Bradley moved the ball early. Hopefully the O will find their rhythm as we push into the last and hardest part of the season.

 

Hey TPoole if you read this, where is a good place to eat MVille that is not to hard on the wallet?

As for places to eat in Alcoa/Maryville, there are a number of places near Foothills Mall (US 431 & US 129) and also near the Walmart (turn left at the Target/Kroger and you will see the restaurants). When I lived up there, I liked Buddy's BBQ (in front of Walmart) and UNO Pizzaria (in front of Target). Both places are priced like an Applebee's, but there a lot of options there.

Thanks, I have eaten at Uno's and it was great, will try Buddy's. BTW, 1-9 seasons were before my time. Maybe we can mend the rift and take it all the way.

i believe with #36 smith, #34 adams, #67 jackson, #38 burroughs on defense any team will have to go to the air, does heritage have a good passing game ? if ooltewahs offense can get it rollin this is a state championship year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! does big #65 crowley return this week?
