Marion County @ York

The stats in the Tennessean are a little off... don't know which game they were watching.... /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> Marion completed on 1-5 passing for 45 yds and a TD...... Marion 393 yards..... York 56 yards..... I'll let that sink in just a bit.......

 

The most impressive stat of the night..... Through three Qtrs York had 1 (that's right... one) first down. In the fourth, they got another one on a penalty call and their third, and final first down, came with less than two minutes to go with a lot of clean jerseys in for Marion...... Outside of their last drive which ended at about the Marion 43 yard line when time had run out... the only time York played on Marion's side of the field was in the third Qtr when Marion fumbled on our own 34 yard line..... Four plays later, York turned it over on downs at the Marion 35.......

 

TOTAL DOMINATION on both sides of the ball..... O-Line blocked the best that they have all year... York was clueless as to how to stop Marion and we COMPLETELY shut them down......

 

To many good performances to even try to name them all..... GREAT JOB WARRIORS! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Keep working and more good things will come.....

 

Not to correct you Mr PG but marion completed 3 passes 1 was to #30 for a first down and the other was to #45 for a 2 point conversion but good reporting on the other stats

Marion came out from the start and dominated on both sides of the ball. I said before the game that Marion was a 2nd Half team well they showed tonight that they can play a full game!! I'm equally sure that the York fans and Region 4AA fans will be on here tomorrow with their excuses about what happened.... Can't be the officials.... we were penalized more times and more yards..... can't be the wet field.... we played on it too.... Can't be the whistle interferred.... although they tried to get it ejected from the game before the game even started.... In reality, they are going to have a hard time finding an excuse..... so they'll just have to face the fact that Marion just came out, mashed them in the mouth and made them like it...... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Mid way of 3rd Qtr Marion's offense had already clicked over to clock crunching time. 28 - 0 and the Warriors were ready to close the game out and head home. In fact, I think the guy running the dragon in the endzone headed for the stands around this time as well.

 

34 - 0. Can you believe FIVE of the ten local sports broadcasters/writers in Friday's paper actually picked York to win this game. Way to support your area team Guys. Your knowledge of the game just leaves me /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
