I guess we will find out just how good this Humboldt team is come post season.I saw Humboldt mnay time when they were in AA and I am convinced this is the most talented team out of Humboldt in quite some time. This years team is loaded and most likely has two D1 players (one for sure). When was the last time Humboldt had a D1 talent and possibly two on the same team. I thought Shivers had mid major D1 talent but that is it in my opinion....Rose and Smith were both good talents but not high end players at the next level. Epperson was way overrated as a BB player, a good highschool player but that was about it. Taylor and Crayton have far more upside than any of those guys. Humboldt and Jackson SS both beat Giles County and Tyler Smith on the road in back to back seasons if i'm not mistaken. Those Giles county teams were a bit overrated in my opinion...but Tyler Smith was the real deal as everyone knows. If this Humboldt team plays with focus they are going to be hard to beat. I'm not here to be a big Humboldt supporter and have 0 alegiance to them. I'm just stating what i believe to be a team loaded that has the chance to do something special. Will that happen? I have no idea. If this team plays with the focus of the past UC, Bolivar, Liberty, and DC teams they will be hard to beat. From what I have seen in the past it remains to be seen if they can bring that kind of focus to the table night in night out.

not to be overly picky but Humbold lost to Temple in the SEMI finals that year. Temple played CSAS in teh finals. that was when taylor shot that ill advised shot with about 12 seconds left and temple got the rebound and a open lay-up.

Yea, my bad. I was there and saw it, just wasn't thinking, lol. The Temple/Humboldt game was moreless the state championship. I think Temple beat CSAS by around 20-25, lol. Humboldt came out sluggish against Temple and Seth Skogen hit everything he shot.

    • There are some potentials internal to the school system. Due to timing of this, that may be the route they go. If so, I'd say a few names would be, Brandon Eden, Kyle Gregory, or BJ West. Eden and Gregory have only been assistants at the HS level but may express interest. West has not been on the HS staff but has been HC of the Middle school that last few years and word on the street has been that he is highly interested. There may be others as well.    Going outside of the school system, a few names come to mind: Rennard Woodmore, Adam Keeton, and Josh Hackett. But I have no idea if any would interest.
    • A lot of people wanted him.
    • Sure, we can talk about it if you want to. Do you want to talk about zoning for Oak Ridge over the past 10 years with some kids from west? Lol. I don’t think so. I see your point, especially for a private school that stinks at football, but I’m just saying that you said the running back who is arguably one of the best transfers from TKA that West got is Zoned for West, and that’s just incorrect.
