Father Ryan 27

Brentwood Academy 23

Great win for the Irish on senior night in their final game at Greer Stadium.

The Irish will finally break ground on their new stadium this spring and should be ready to go for kick off next fall on Norwood Drive on the Father Ryan campus.

Good luck to Brentwood Academy the rest of the year!

Congrats Coach Lussier!

It was a great game. Ryan up 10-7 at half. Fall behind 23-10 after 3 quick BA scores in the 3rd qtr.

Mulloy makes a key catch as game looked out of reach (probably out of bounds, but ref called it in) and Ryan makes it 23-17. Ryan scores again in 4th to make it 24-23. Ryan gets a turnover deep in BA territory and kicks FG to make it 27-23 with 2:30 left.

BA drives all the way down to the Ryan 20. QB gets sacked and drive stalls on downs.

Stunning. Father Ryan's 27 points tonight is the most BA has given up in the past 25 games, and this is coming off the heels of a 34 total yards performance by FRHS versus MBA last week.

Where is 3yards and the playoff scenario?

5. McCallie @ 1. EHS

4. BA @ 1. MUS

3. BCS/CBHS @ 2. MBA

3. BGA @ 2. ECS/BCS

ROUND 2:

EHS-McCallie winner vs BGA-ECS/BCS winner

BA-MUS winner vs MBA-BCS/CBHS winner

BA loss is a great break for EHS in terms of possible second round opponents if they get by McCallie. They escape playing BA in the 2nd as BGA moves up to the 3rd seed.

Congrats to FRHS! That should definitely get a lot of kids pumped up about this offseason and the chance to open up a new stadium, they deserve it.

Thanks for the kind words. The Irish faithful have been counting down the days for a number of years to have the opporunity to play football games on campus. It should be a great game day atmosphere and experience for the community and another nice venue for D-II teams to come play on Friday nights!

That was a great morale builder win for the Irish....After the drubbing they took at MBA last week, I thought tonight would get ugly too.....BA made way too many mistakes and didn`t look like a typically prepared BA team .........Coach Potter kept them in the postgame huddle for an extended period of time....Ryan`s season was a" close but no cigar " type of campaign with close losses to BGA(7-3) Webb(6-0) and Ensworth(38-25 but led with 2:00 to go)....Just couldn`t close the deal.....I predicted 6-4 this season and they ended up 5-5 so I wasn`t too far off....... Moving on campus to the new stadium next season will pump some adrenaline into the program and start a new tradition.

Congrats Irish
