tough break for the eagles though..

The coaches will find someone that can do the job. Football is a team sport and this year, these boys are playing as a team unlike the past several years. It's not me, me, me. It's we, we, we this year. I am really proud of all the boys. All of the seniors have stepped up and are leaders on and off the field. I have known most of these boys (seniors) for their entire lives and they are outstanding young men. This team knows what needs to be done, and how they will get it done. A. J. will definately be missed, but the Region 4-4A champs can win this game as long as they stay focused, don't give up, and fight for what they want. Go Big Green! Play your hearts out and move us on to week 2! We are behind you all the way!

Caleb is a great player. He is all heart. He flies around the field every play. He leads the team in tackles, as a junior. I can't wait to see what he does next year... except I want to see what we all can do the rest of this year first!

Oh yeah this is year has been a break out year for Calab and you are right got to finish this year. But I can't wait to see what he does for his senior year. I believe he is in the top 10 in the state for tackles.

Big game tonight, AJ being out hurts the Eagles but I think they will find someone to step up. Lovelady and JT and Swafford have game on well towards the end of this season as well as Hester as a good 4th reciever. I wonder though with #25 running as good as he did last Friday if Moffett will get to catch some passes as well. The Defense needs to have a big game in the secondary, with Clintons running back out this helps the Eagles out a lot. I hope to see us spread the ball around and have a complete game on both sides of the ball. I sure hope Davis makes his PATs and has a cuple of those big punts. The secondary will be the difference in tte game tonight I think and i hope the Eagles come out hungry because if they want it I think they'll get in Clinton 21 Rhea Co. 33 Lets Go Eagles get us to the Second Round!!!!

Nothing like waking up on the second Friday in November. Everyone knows that tonight teams all across the state start the march to Murfreesboro. I believe we will make that first step, but we've got to play smart. Some of our boys have to step up tonight and they all have to play their hearts out. As for us as fans, we've got to be loud and supportive for our Green and Gold. Don't let the rain keep you from coming just of state highway 27 in Evensville tonight. We want to watch our Back Valley Boys get to the endzone, and get there often /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

I agree totally. There are plenty that can step up and get the job done. After reading this morning's paper, I am hoping and praying that they pull it off tonight. There was an article about seniors and their last game and how hard it is for them to walk off the field for the last time and take off their uniform. I have seen many "last games" for senior players over the years, and it breaks my heart every time. I hope to see the home side packed and it be standing room only. These boys need our support. I hope to see lots of "the dancing football" tonight!!

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
