So, if the speed of Rogers beat Giles, what adjustments exactly are you going to make? Are you going to make your players faster? Make rogers slower? Sounds interesting, let me know how that works out for you.

Vandy, How dare you insult me, by calling me a sidekick! I am perfectly capable of exposing coacht stupidity on my own!

What adjustments will I make?? My seat more comfortable and my beer more cold.

You know I'm right, you are a burro with a high IQ. Let me know how that works out for you.

I am still PO'd that Jackie Smith did not coach last week

It wouldn't have mattered, you would have still lost. By the way as you always remind me. That is another thread and you should take your wimpering there.

While viewing the mustangfanpage, which I admit is an awesome accomplishment of Vandy1, I also want to thank Al Gore for inventing the internet. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> .. The last meeting between these teams saw the most successful night passing for the stangs, percentage wise other than a couple games in which there were only 1 or 2 passes, it was well above their normal completion percentage. With the adjustments some GC fans expect to see in the defensive backfield this could be a noticeable shift in advantage for the cats. Coach OC does a great job keeping his players fresh but they will have to push it to the limit this week.

Last week the rain was no friend to the cats, I am quite intrested to see how the cold plays into the game. DL has has a history of lasting in the chase for the gold ball, hence, more experience in playing in the colder temps. That has to be advantage DL.

Tell me what other advantages, either way everyone sees out there.

"No, I will not make out with you." - Billy Madison, 9th grade.

While I try to wade through the sarcasm, I can't help but feel a little uncomfortable by your attraction to me... I know I haven't been around in a while, but the CoachT I left was a site for high school sports. Now it seems I have walked right into one of those "To Catch a Predator" traps... ahapplet... or should I say Chris Hansen... you're barking up the wrong tree. I'm just here for the sports and elementary banter.

No sarcasm intended, dear Bombsquad. No need to be uncomfortable. The attraction is not for you, but for your wonderful wit and writing skills. I don't consider you to be a predator at all and don't be paranoid. The other fellows just implied you were bad enough to kill with your words and I'm not dead yet. Here's hoping we can beat you on Friday night, but don't worry your reputation as a tough witty writer still lives.....

I dont see any particular advantages for either side on Friday night. Both teams know what it is they have to do to win the game. You are right though. DL does have experience playing in very cold temperatures. The quarter final game last year was about 25 degrees when the game started and dropped to around 19-20 degrees in the second half, if my memory serves me correctly.

I dont think the cold will play a factor in the game though. Both sides want this win so bad I dont imagine the players will notice the cold at all. I cant wait for tomorrow night! This is going to be an joy for all the fans to see. I have already given my prediction and hold to it still. I look for a tie game at the half but see the Mustangs out lasting the Bobcats in the second half. IMO these are the two best teams left in 3A facing off tomorrow night. Most are expecting the Mustangs to prevail and I do as well and hope they can do so. But the Bobcats definately have a chance to pull this one out. I wish all Giles county fans a safe trip from Pulaski!

Is Pulaski in Tennessee?

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
