just saw highlights on the tv and Eric Gordon put on a show

Hillsboro is not very big but they are all fast - they have weapons at every skill position (#8 is a stud)- i will say the qb is probably the weakest link from a passing standpoint - throws with his elbow down - even lower than vince young - beech picked a pass... he has so many athletes when he throws deep they are able to adjust and go get the ball... but Maryville and maybe HC will be able to stop the long stuff...

Bucs were out athleted at every position... kickoffs were deep, they didn't tackle great but swarmed and with their speed its tough to break a long one... they can be thrown on i think - beech did not take advantage of this enough

beech had a chance to make it 35-28 in the 3rd qtr but couldn't score - but quite frankly the bucs would have had to play a perfect game and gotten a couple more turnovers to win

hillsboro's big enough. and there line is fast and athletic which is what coach scott blade likes

didn't say they weren't big enough = only time will tell

and as i said they are all fast = that's what makes them good

if they come up on a team that has a huge o line they won't stop them

beech is small too - but the burros are faster/more athletic than beech and that's why they won

First of all....Greg Young didn't play up to his usual standard tonight (he is better than he played tonight and actually he didn't really play all that bad, especially if he doesn't throw that inexcuseable interception)... However, MBA, Franklin, and Maplewood's line were all bigger than HHS's and HHS held their own pretty well. Also, HHS scrimmaged Ensworth, BA, and Smyrna, who all have HUGE lines and again held their own. Make no mistake, HHS isn't just athletes running around. If they were, Beech would have likely beaten them tonight like ya'll did Maplewood last week.

Btw, HHS has Crutcher and Gordon in the defensive secondary (both division 1-A recruits)....you are rather nieve to think it is easy to pass against the HHS defense. Kudos to Beech tonight they were impressive and have a couple of real playmakers. They are a great TEAM and are well coached!
