Let me state again.....

The bad experience I had with Mitchell was NOT from the coaches, players or staff. It was the fans, or the ADULTS OUTSIDE the gate. As far as the coaches and players go, aside from a FEW fans/students mocking us for losing (which I will give credit to one of the coaches demanding that they GO HOME), we were treated with respect. We were escorted to the gate, however I don't remember any Mitchell personnel escorting us after we got out of the gates. But they could have, I was more worried about bottles flying past my head.

As for Melrose, they beat us AT Milan, so of course they were gonna talk stuff. And this was in the mid 90's.

Just please don't say that it "did not" happen when I witnessed it first hand....

You should be able to tell why people don't feel Memphis is safe if you feel the need to arrange for extra security. When I played football, we never had the need for security of any kind. I don't know though, never actually played football in Memphis, so I guess I don't have any place talking on this actually. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Are there normally police officers stationed at the games? Our high school normally only has the local constable there and I think he just comes to watch the game and be seen to campaign for re-election! Also, how many schools in Memphis have their own stadiums? I thought most played at city owned facilities. Is Melrose one of the exceptions?

Franklin went to Germantown in 2005 and i didnt hear of any issues....Indy went last year and there werent any either that i know of. As for the bands, theyre just flat annoying I know the past two games we have thrown stuff and have said things to our own band because they are obnoxious. Going to memphis isnt any worse than goin to a nashville game or a Hunters Lane McGavock basketball game. I know Germantown isnt right in the middle of Memphis but still its safe out there
