Tennessee teams are better than Georgia & Alabama but not as good as Indy, MO and Ohio. The best teams (top 4)could play with most of the teams in the better states but Christian Brothers in Saint Louis and Culver in Indiana would kill the Tennessee teams.

 

 

I saw Christian Bros play Nashville Flyers in a little round-robin a couple weeks ago.. CB wasn't that good and I would say if they played JP II, Father Ryan or Ravenwood it would be a close match-up.

How is it that #77 from Mt Juliet can check a ref and get suspended for 30 days, then get suspended again in the 1st game after the 30 days? Seems like the league would do something about it... looks like the coaches and parents encourage out of control behavior, or do they just have a bad discipline problem? I heard the coach sent players off the bench to fight with only 10 seconds to go in last weeks game!

Wonder how they compare with south Florida? The programs in the Ft. Lauderdale/Boca Raton area are putting some kids into college club hockey programs like Central Florida and Florida Gulf Coast.

 

I'm pleased to see this section here. I'll be in Nashville in January and hope to see an MBA game.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
