www.region54a.com was a nice website that had some good information about those teams. Since the realignment, the website has shut down. Someone told me that the same people were going to start a new website with the newly aligned 3A region with : Franklin County, Lincoln County, Columbia, Shelbyville, Lawrence County, and Tullahoma. Anybody have any info?

The website for the new District 8-AAA is, you guessed it: http://www.district8aaa.com. Although the site is quite crude right now, the goal is to bring a current, accurate, informative site for players, coaches, and fans to enjoy in the coming seasons. Thanks for your interest and please spread the word about the site.

How is the situation with the Tullahoma stadium coming along?

Actually, though you are reading what the TSSAA has printed correctly, the fact is that the information there is incorrect. The Rutherford County schools are District 7-AAA, while the former Region 5-4A schools - Tullahoma, Lawrence Co., and Shelbyville, join with Columbia, Franklin Co., and Lincoln Co. in the new District 8-AAA.

District 8-AAA has been the non-football district for these six schools for a long time. The big difference now is that Coffee Co., which has always been a member of District 8-AAA, is no longer a member. They have been moved into the district with Cookeville, White Co., Cumberland Co., and Warren Co.

Bids to demolish the stadium are being considered and to my knowledge we are on schedule to be completed with our new stadium by the Aug. 21 opener when Blackman comes to town.

Footballfan15 you have yourself a wonderful day. Are you following your team to Murfreesboro along with the other 15 Hillsboro fans to enjoy the atmosphere created by the thousands of Maryville fans?

One can start a blog for free at blogger.com.

Have you ever considered starting your own website (via blog) for Hillsboro and/or the school's region and amending all the faults you find in others' efforts? Or is taking your jabs at people that strive to provide HS football information to others for little to no recognition or compensation (and essentially only criticism) your cup of tea?

Hillsboro has been building a nice program for almost a decade now. Maybe you should use this opportunity with all these "fecal matter" websites out there to show the world how it should be done. Getting a win over mighty Maryville tomorrow might be the impetus to start.
