SoupKitchen
Who will the race be between in the AAA ranks this spring? And now that 8 teams instead of 4 compete in each class who will those be in AAA?
lchsgocatsgo
Columbia will have a solid team again next year, losing 4 players from a team that won 28 games last year. They still have a proven pitching staff including Zach Gray and Bobby Bratton. Depends on how well their 3rd and 4th pitchers develop to see how far they go. Should be between Dustin McDonald, Andrew Luther, and Josh Oliver.
Guest springer33lchscat
I agree with lchsgocatsgo,Columbia is going to be really strong again this year as the have in the past years.I know when are varsity played them the were great, but I'm correct they had a hard time agaisnt lchsgocatsgo(Tyler Copeland) when he was on the mound. He threw a one hit shut out against them early in the season this past year. But good luck to Colunbia an good luck to you Tyler at MTSU.Tyler how do you think we will do this year in baseball? lawcohicat
Copeland pitched a No-hit shutout against Columbia last year.
lchsgocatsgo
Thanks for the correction lawcohicat, but I don't care about that kinda stuff too much, it was only one game, days like that happen. But anyways, to answer you Charlie, next year could potentially be a long long season for LCHS since we lost 8 seniors(7 starters). But I know there is still plenty of talent there, Chris Scott will have to have a great season, along with Nathan Willis and Eric Johnson, they are the only seniors I can think of. There are plenty of you there who are juniors, but as a whole yall are very inexperienced, Hartsfield, Boone, and Clayton are the only ones with much varsity experience. If I had to bet I'd say LCHS will finish 5th in the district next year. The year after that should be the year for yall to be good.
Guest springer33lchscat
I agree Tyler,we our going to be unexsperince an I'm sure that Chris will have the same season as last but as far as Boone he said he isn't going to play,so its up to Kane to take over catcher.I won't be the least bit surprised to see Josh Purcell back there for afew innings this year. And if Jase Duke played like he did in that Babe Ruth Tournament his is going to be another great key to the team. SoupKitchen
Anybody else out there besides Columbia?
McMinn15
McMinn should be very good this year. Return 7 starters from last year's 22-11 team.
TnBball
Rossview should win District 10-AAA again and possibly get out of the Region to the substate round. Dickson Co and Henry Co will also contend, Clarksville High will be Rossviews best city game.
SoupKitchen
Who will be the quality in E.TN in the AAA? Also, who are the stand outs that will carry them?
Switchhitter
TSSAA has changed the baseball format...region winners will go to spring fling next year, which is in Memphis in 2003....that means eight teams...will take one more win to claim the championship!! Look for LaVergne Farragut and Munford all to return in AAA...all three of these teams were young last year...
