Whitwell 0

Grundy Co. 7

Bledsoe Co. 0

Grundy Co. 0

Bledsoe County 0

South Pittburg 7

Lookout Valley 0

South Pittsburg 0

Lookout Valley 0

Sequatchie Co. 13

Marion Co. 7

Sequatchie Co. 0

Whitwell 19

Marion Co. 21 (Wild Quarter of Action!) :(

I think the best looking teams were Sequatchie Co. followed closely by South Pittsburg and Marion Co. although with that last Quarter it was hard to tell what either team was like because of giving up big plays.

You mean Whitwell and Jasper put up 40 points in one quarter? What were they playing, Arena League Football?

It was Wild Whitwell Scored with like 45 seconds left and each team started from the 30 no kickoffs and hit a pass that went to what appeared from where I was 8-10 yard line and Marion scored two plays later with around 25 seconds left!

By the way parking was terrible you had cars lined up on both sides of 28 for probably over half mile if not longer and I think a lot people even parked at the Hardee's and walked! :(

Was there a full stadium?

Also, who looked the most impressive? I expected S. Pitt. to put up some numbers, but maybe V. Grider was holding back.

Actually no the stadium as for as seating was not full Whitwell fans didn't even fill up there own section! So ever one must have driven their own car! :D

Sequatchie, Marion Co. & S.P. looked the best I can't tell much about Whitwell losing in the 1st 7-0 and then just miss beating Marion who knows? :(

Who was playing QB for Bledsoe Co.? I think Sanchez was playing RB.

Also Warrior2024, How is Derek, also could you give me a recap on how we played from your perspective I really like that we could play 2 or 3 Freshman at LB. B. Lewis had a great hit on the ballcarrier on one play.

Derek is just bruised up we think. I thought we played okay but there is still room for improvement. I did like the way we got after them in the two quarters. The QB for Bledsoe was Trey Bice and the other was Bobby Smith. Bice is #3 and Smith is #21. I think that is who it was. The freshmen did okay. I am pleased that they do not back down from the contact. I hope that the hard hitting Indians show up on Thursday night. Hope we can give Grundy a good run!

Did not see Tater on TV, maybe a good thing. Grundy still is running the veer offense. Each veer coach has his own tendancies but Coach Ken knows the offense inside and out. Hope we are ready for them Thursday night, be there or be square.

Was it just me or was Grundy Co. not running the Veere offense or not the same version Marion Co. was running?

Also did you see the publicity "Tater" got on Channel 3 last night? ;)

    • Wouldn't the easiest move be to move McCall up to HS Principal and have Gulley take over as MS Principal?
    • Bounder, you are correct. And it is so easy today. As a civilian today, I can check my 6th grade grandson’s grades in real time. 46 years ago as a young head coach, I knew who were my weak students and would do a weekly check. A decade and 1/2 later as an administrator, I would ask guidance for attendance, and grade reports as I did my own discipline reports. 5 years later I could run all those reports in a few minutes. today Text one the Secretaries and they can create a red flag report only printing the names with D’s and F’s or attendance and discipline issues. You are not even dealing with a whole team. The only problem with modern technology is someone who might not want to know.
    • No I didn't,  I just know jellico lost a few and should in playoffs tho....but they have alot coming in the next few yrs
    • The buck stops with the head coach, he should have know if any of his players  were not making the required grades. Either he has someone checking weekly before games and reporting to him or he should do it himself.
