I don't know maybe Thompson and Law would apply. I would suspect Phillips, Herzog, Komisar, and maybe even Gore to apply for the position out of coaches with ties to HHS. I'm sure there will be other candidates too though.

Grew up a VU fan/UTK fan (it's complex, but basically my family was evenly split between them), but never have cared for Johnson much. Love Corbin though, I wish he could coach some football.

Those are the names I figure that will likely be candidates that have been football coaches at HHS in recent years. I don't see any other former assistants being candidates. Sheesh! Personally, I hope HHS interviews nationally again and gets the very best candidate possible regardless. You know, someone that isn't going to be "thought of" much like Blade wasn't. However, I am not optimistic about that happening this time around, but I think that would be the best thing they could do.

In MNPS, my understanding is you must be a full-time teacher at the school to be HC of football. Not a state requirement mind you, but an MNPS requirement. Fite isn't teaching currently and will likely stay on as LB's coach. He is a great players coach.
