etnmom
Looking toward playoffs, it looks like D-B and Tennessee will be top two seeded teams from District 1. Morristown West is almost assured the #1 seed for District 2. Then it gets interesting looking at the remaining school's records. Any ideas or predictions? Who makes the cut and who stays home? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
coachh17
Morristown West seems to have unseated Greeneville as the Region's best team, but they are no lock to make it to Murfreesboro. Cocke County and Greeneville are both capable of upsetting West in a district or regional tournament game. I even think Morristown East and Jefferson County could ruin someone's season on a given night. The Big 9 is even more muddled. Dobyns Bennett and Tennessee High appear to be the best, but Sullivan Central, Science Hill, and Crockett could pull some big upsets. If I had to predict it now, I would say West, Greeneville, Cocke County, and Jefferson County will make the region from the IMAC. I would say Tennessee High, Dobyns Bennett, Sullivan Central, and Science Hill will make it from the Big 9. It could be a crazy tournament. I will predict the regional finalists will be Morristown West and Dobyns Bennett, but will not be surprised if one or both of them are upset. This looks like one of those years where nearly any of the eight teams could get hot and win it.

They keep dropping in the standings, and their tournament seeding may have them face either Crockett, or Central, which they don't matchup well against, apparently. The GreenBank Classic was really interesting and surprising to watch. Some teams I would have bet on to place high or win before the tournament stumbled. It's going to be a very interesting playoff in Region 1 this year.

The Lady Trojans may be on their way to a home sub-state game.
