What are yall picks, MUS comes in 1-1, with a win over Jackson(MS) Prep and a blowout loss to Melrose! John Phillips looks to have lost his starting job(guess that is what happens when you lose 2 D1 recievers). Clenin played well last night! Harding comes in 1-0, with a good looking performance in the 1st qtr(the only time the starters played) last week against Catholic! Should be a great game! Give me your comments picks, thoughts, also Brentwood Ac. plays Briarcrest next week, what do you think about it?

Go to MUSOWLS.ORG/ and go to athletics, then go to football, then go to opponents through the year.

Harding beat MUS once...I think it was like 1978, they were horrible.

I don't know who will win, but they key is the second half. MUS will make adjustments, and they have about 90 kids or more...if Hardings D-line and O-line can stay healthy and are in great condition...then its a Harding win. Remember how Cox was running the ball on the first series against MUS? Coach Alston even commented on how great he was running. We had the ball around to 15 on the opening drive. It will be close, but the key is depth, and MUS, because of an enrollment of over 600 boys, definitely has the advantage, athletically they aren't as good, and that might hurt them.

Last years game with MUS.......

What Harding fans remember......

1st drive Harding takes it to the 30yd line of MUS but has to go for it on 4th down and fails and throws a INT...MUS 1st posseion a first down(late hit) and a INT...Harding takes it to the MUS 5yd line then Cox fumbles it. MUS gets first down, takes it to about 40yd line of MUS and then has their punt blocked, Harding then takes it to the 1yd line of MUS to end the qtr....very next play to start Qtr. Harding goes up 6-0! Harding should have been winning 17-0 at that point in the game, Cox ran all over MUS but.....

What MUS remembers.......

O yeah we beat Harding 35-6 whoppie.....they werent any good.... we kicked their butts from the opening kick-off!

So how do you think the most hyped up team is this year, btw you where right, they are 1-19 against MUS, won in 1978, the series went from 1974-1993, then was picked up last year, should be a fun night of football with D2 AA's playing D2 AAA's....who does BGA play this week?

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
