Westview beats Obion Central 54-51

As in the last game between these two in Troy late in the season Westview comes back from a double digit 3rd quarter deficit to pull out a win....Brandon Smith led the Rebels in scoring tonite with 18 points..Tyler Barber had 12 and Brady Boucher followed with 10....OC led 37-27 midway thru the quarter but saw that lead cut in half heading into the final period...

 

OC, by my count, was 3 of 7 inside the last two minutes of the game shooting free throws and shot 8 for 13 in the game overall...The Rebs also had a couple of turnovers in that stretch as well that didn't help....Westview hit their free throws at the end and OC didn't...OC did have one final opportunity to tie the game...OC had cut the lead to three on a stick-back bucket and called time-out...Westview threw the ball away under the Rebel basket but OC couldn't get the shot they wanted and the shot missed it's mark...

 

OC now plays Milan at 6:00 PM in the consolation game Monday night followed at 7:30 PM with Westview playing Dyer County for the 13AA District Championship....

I seen someone throw 3 guys the bird after the game!!!!! I laughed extremely hard even though it was pretty classless...before you folks say it never happened...it DID happen, I saw it with my own eyes, lol....

Great win for Westview they never gave up. Both teams had awesome crowds.I know alot of people not from OC probably dislike thier student section,but you have to admit it they are crazy in a good way .

The leading scorers for Westview were Davell Lloyd with 20 and Jacob Lloyd added 12....I'm pretty sure D Lloyd had 18 second half points....

 

After not hitting a single three in their game with Crockett County to open up tournament action, the Chargers hit 9 last night in their win over the Rebels...

yes you do have to admit that their student section gets the team and their fans pumped up, not to mention the team! lots of these players run off the excitment of the crowd and the vibe they put out. DC is the same way. Louder the crowd, the better their teams play
