I'm sorry, but the only way that Madison will win at the Boro is if they carry those refs that they had tonight with them. Bradford was outplaying Madison 2-1 and you could tell that the refs were not going to let Madison lose. Bradford girls were scared to do anything knowing that the refs would call fouls on them, and even when Erica Oliver let one of their girls go up for a lay-up, they still called a foul on her. Erica was just standing there and watching her. It is just really sad, when a team loses like that. Just cheated that is all you can say!

Then at the end of the game, the Madison fans run out on the court, on top of the Bradford players. Big school with no class!! Very Very Sad!!

In a normal game, with fair refs, Madison would not of been able to keep up with Bradford.

Congratulations to the 2009 Lady Mustangs. We're going to state!

One thing is for sure, we definatly had never seen anything like your fans. They were the most "classy" (sarcasm present here) fans after the game. about 40% of your fan having to be escorted out of the game before the end. Very nice!

When refs make calls like they did of course the fans are going to be very very upset. I talked to several of the teachers there at Madison and they even agreed the worst ref'd game MadisonMan1Ac. But you did not even mention how your fans ran out on the court all over the Bradford girls. I have never seen that happen because most schools would not allow that. Now who is classy (sarcasm intended)??

I was standing up by the Bradford girls locker room and several of the cops had to tell your fans to leave and the Bradford fans waiting there were not saying a word. I even asked the cop if this was the way that "your" fans acted all the time and he said I hope not. Yea, very classy MadisonMan1AC (sarcaism meant)!!!!!

what teacher? liar.

We were classy. and you say your fans were not taunting!?!?! we started chanting "Long ride home" because you had an ignorant student come over to us and ask to fight. in this case.. he was not only unclassy but also stupid..

And if you were one of the moms standing next to the locker room.. i walked by and was called a hethen!

a hethen!? that is not classy at all!

ran out on top of your girls!? i didnt touch any of them and nobody did.. we were celebrating with our girls.... THE RIGHTFUL WINNERS not trying to "trample" yours."

And your fans' posts earlier say your district have the best fans and loudest and craziest.. but you have never seen a storming of a court... sounds like your district is pathetic....

"outplaying Madison 2-1?"

really?

because it seemed like Madison outplayed Bradford 39-33

also, "Big school with no class!!!"

read the rest of the last few posts for your "no class" response

but as for the big school!? the only reason we are in class A is because there is no class 1/2 A

we have 420 students.. just because we have students show up to a game does not necesarily mean we have a big school. we are by far the smallest high school in Jackson

Madison, you do realize that Bradford has 201 students.

I listened to the game on the radio. Bradford girls were being called for fouls left and right. Every time I heard the whistle blow on the radio, I knew that it was gonna be a Bradford foul. In fact, the announcers, who were very pro Madison on 101.5, said that Oliver got called for her fourth foul I believe, and she came no where near even touching the girl....that the girl just lost the ball out of bounds on her own. I will say that if the refs had let yall play, instead of calling it tight, then Bradford would have beaten yall. But, that's just my humble opinion. I mean, Bradford's best players, Wallsmith and Oliver, sat on the bench for most of the game. Wallsmith only played 2 minutes of the entire second half. That is what won yall the game.

Anyway, Madison, yall won. Again, congrats. Make some noise at the Boro.

Personal Foul.

Physical contact between opposing players that may result in injury or provide one team with an unfair advantage; players may not push, hold, trip, hack, elbow, restrain or charge into an opponent.

I'm sorry but Bradford should have had their players foul out every game based on the definition of a foul. They touch, hold, pinch, do anything they can to get the advantage. The officials were just doing their job, which they should have been doing all season long. Officials have let the game get too physical and someone is going to get hurt. If your team can truly play the game of basketball, you can win without getting physical. There are alot of teams in our region that don't play dirty and still win. That's how it should be done.

Congratulations to Madison on a great win. Good luck in Murfreesboro, I will be there pulling for you.

I wasnt able to make it to the game but several people kept me posted. The people that I talked with at the game all said that Madison was the better team last night. Noone complained about the officials that I talked with and I talked with some Bradford people as well. Bradford is a physical team and gets away with alot of fouls on most nights. I have said all season if Bradford gets a group of refs that call tickytac fouls that they are in trouble and it sounds like that is what happened. Bradford has nothing to hang there heads about, Bradford had a good season.

I am surprised and disappointed by the posts by the Bradford fans on here.

It is one thing to call a tight game. That is fine, but the announcers I heard on 96.5 couldn't believe it either. I heard at least 3 or 4 times where they were quesioning why a Madison player did not get called for a foul. They also acted pretty surprised on at least 2 of Oliver's fouls. There was also the rebound that Jacklyn Street got that they unbelievably called a jump ball. The list goes on.

Again, call it tight, I don't care, just call it the same for both teams. According to the announcers that definitely did not happen.

You guys have got to be kidding. Bradford went further than they should have. They beat up and bang every night but they are not a very good basketball team and to get on here and criticize the referees while you listen to the game on the radio. Wow!
