South-Doyle vs. Farragut Predictions

South-Doyle and Farragut open up District 4-AAA season play on Monday at South-Doyle. Word on the streets is that South-Doyle expects to win Monday, as well as win the district that includes the powerhouses Farragut and Bearden. Not to mention Maryville and Lenior City, decent teams every year. I want to know if anybody has any opinions on what the score might be Monday, and if anybody has any opinion on the final rankings in this District. O yeah and does anybody have any thoughts on this sleeper South-Doyle team. Can they really dominate this district like they are proclaiming they will? /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

That is not going to happen. South Doyle is going to give Farragut a very tough game and they are expecting at the very least a draw and hope for a win, and i dont know if they will dominate anything but look for them to do well and to come back even stronger next year.

4-0 Farragut. They will overwhelm South Doyle. They are too good.

Jsteele, most of your post seem to concern SD. So I assume you are either a fan or player, i'd wait until the game is played before you talk. Farragut needs no reason to be more highly motivated for your match and you are doing your team no favors right now. Good luck in the match and you can certainly ignore my advice, but my experience is that less talking is usually the best choice.

Jsteele what do you expect the score to be? I don't see South-Doyle scoring unless its an own goal. They've scored 2 own goals in the past 4 or so years and besides maybe one goal in the correct net, that's all the scoring they've done against the Admirals. I'm not saying you don't have a chance, I'm just wondering what kind of game this is gonna be, defensive or offensive? Past games show that South-Doyle better bring a sticky D, because they have been unable to score against Farragut. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

i guess i should have stayed quiet. SD was overwhelmed by farragut's play and skill, but SD is using this as a learning experience, and they hope to be better because of it.

No shame in losing to such a quality team. We lost to Farragut 3 or 4 years ago 5-1. It was brutal. But it taught us a lot about ourselves.

I have heard a lot of good things about South Doyle. Don't let one game (let alone the first of the season) dictate your success. Good luck!

HAHA no worries man. Try talking and then losing 11-0. I think that would be a bit different later in the season but humbling, nevertheless. I'm sure South Doyle will surprise a few teams this year, just maybe not Farragut. I like the positive attitude, and I'm sure this game will only help SD on down the line.
