District 4-AAA

Was a well played game on both sides last night. Farragut got out of a bases loaded jam in the 5th to really close door on Bearden. First time i had seen these two play each other. I was impressed with talent level on both squads.

Jordan Cooper had a 1 hitter but Mac Thoreson replaced him in the 5th when Cooper got into a bases loaded jam.

South-Doyle beat Sevier County 8-7 in the first game at farr. then lost to Bearden 11-4. SD had the lead until the bottom of 5th, Bearden scored 3 in 5th and followed it up with 5 in the 6th.

Congratulations to both Farragut and Bearden on their Region Berths! Go make D 4-AAA Proud like I know you will do!

 

I would also like to thank all the teams in 4AAA for a Great year of very competitive baseball! Every school shows Great spirit & pride! I wish you all the Best of Luck in the future! It has been a PRIVILEGE getting to play in this District with all the Quality Teams in it!

 

South Doyle and us, Sevier Co, will be traveling to a new District next year, but I have to say again, it has been a privilege being involved in District 4AAA!

Not sure about Hardin Valley in this district. I was around some of the varsity coaches in 3-AAA recently and they made the comment that Hardin Valley was staying on the Oak Ridge, Powell, etc...side of the district. It will be interesting to see where we end up. I am pretty sure that Anderson County is moving up to AAA classification so maybe this is why HVA might be moving to where Sportsfan010 suggests.
