D-B SPRING PRACTICE-Lets get it going !

Recommended Posts

If you want some true 2011 talent in the secondary look out for metro's McGavock Raiders Anthony Knight at safety who actually gave running back D.Turner a minor concussion at practice. Aaron Simms at the other safety is a speedy ball hawking safety. At Corner 5'11'' 180 Carl Moody is a run stopping corner.

You don't have that cookie recipe do you?

Indian faithful, what's the word on Coacher Watson? It had been previously rumored that he was thinking of retiring. MUCH respect for Coacher Watson.

Far as I know,he will coach this fall.Coach was with the team in the spring and is as sharp as ever. Making those defensive calls with the way DB plays their front is what drives the defense.

Thanks Batman. I agree on Coacher. I know he's a sharp, and brilliant coach. I was there when he led Volunteer over D-B, and I have seen many amazing defensive teams since. But, when he does decide to take a well deserved retirement, you guys are loaded with good coaches.

I agree with all points.I have a favorite or two,but I'll talk about one.Young coach Holt is a throw back to my days. Many remember a game last year when he should have been in the hospital with kidney stones, but was coaching his linebackers instead at an away game.He understands the little things that can get a player in the right spot, and doesn't except a player not bringing 100% effort under his watch.

The indian nation had better hope that he doesnt retire because he is the reason they have had 10=0

seasons. He went blank in the first playoff game last year, but GC left the play book in the locker room at halftime

I heard.

You are right about Coach Watson, I remember when we played a great Riverdale team 3rd round, and held them to 0 1st downs in the 2nd half. What a great piece of coaching that took(and great play by the defense). ...About the playbook, I think its true, but the way I heard it(and saw it) he left it in the locker room the last 3 yrs.

He thought D-B meant any defensive back. No harm intended.

Given your extensive coverage of football and the apparent breadth of your expertise, I am inclined to seek your esteemed opinion on the matter: who, in your estimation, emerges as the favored candidate? Furthermore, since the mantle of head coach has been vacated, upon whom would you bestow the mantle of leadership?
    • Shoulders dad graduated for TC, and Kyle began his coaching career early on at TC although he wasn't there long. Shoulders would be a homerun, but don't see him leaving Macon anytime soon.

    • Perhaps it is within the realm of possibility that the comprehension of my discourse, both by yourself and others, may be circumscribed by the boundaries of intellectual acumen. Might one contemplate this notion from such a perspective? Allow me to clarify that my intent does not lean towards disparagement, save for instances where provocation is directed towards myself or the esteemed troupe of the Trousdale County Yellow Jackets who proudly find domicile upon the hallowed grounds of CREEKBANK. In contemplation of the candidates under discussion, it is conjectured that individuals such as Gregory, Woodmore, Vetetoe, Eden, Hackett, and Cothron may emerge as contenders. Regrettably, it is deemed improbable that Shoulders shall express interest in this pursuit. Speculation arises regarding the potential candidacy of BJ West, albeit the implications of familial ties with Lafayette introduce complexities to such a scenario. The enigma of Dr. Clint's deliberations looms large, fraught with the weight of a formidable decision yet to be made.
    • My kind sir, you seem to be lost within the time space continuum having traveled from the 16th Century or you aspire to hide your true intelligence by masking your language with that of the great playwright. You know good and well, your commentary takes your fellow comrades hours to decipher what you are really saying and most of them are likely left questioning whether you have insulted them or find them to be in your favor. I offer you some advice. In my travels through this area of the country, it is best to speak slow and with a twang and you don't annunciate  words to their fullest. Your points will be clear then!  Any names been mentioned around town as Actual Applicants to this job? Seen several post mentioning individuals, but I haven't heard of any of them except for Shoulders. Does he have ties to TC?  Have amy of the other names mentioned ever been in the HC position before?
