Coach B.
What is a border bash in football?
mrbigster
I would think it would be two schools in the same county playing each other like Huntingdon and Bruceton or maybe like an East Tenn school maybe playing a neighboring North Carolina school..Maybe a West Tenn. school playing a close Kentucky school..Something to that nature but I'm not totally sure! crow
I have always understood it to be 2 teams from different states playing each other. An example I'm familiar with is here in Oneida they used to play McCreary County HS in Kentucky. Different states but probably only 15 or 20 miles apart. Sequatchie
It could also probably be two rival county schools that border each other. example: Sequatchie Co. - Marion Co., Warren Co. - DeKalb Co. etc..
Monkey Wrench
i would think it would 2 neighboring state teams playing against each other. but since the term "bash" was used, it could be like a party and be like a jamboree where teams from differnt states meet and play. but it hink the first one is the best explanation. Coach B.
Thanks for the info everyone. I hear that Tuscola High School(North Carolina) has had several "Border Bashes". Are they having one in 2009?

Coach B.
Sorry I am not following. Endsworth High Schol in Nashville?
rollredroll
Sorry I am not following. Endsworth High Schol in Nashville? Yes, Ensworth High School. I don't get it. Why in the world would Tuscola High School in North Carolina even be brought up randomly on these Tennessee boards, much less in the context of a "Border Bash", if there wasn't prior knowledge of a game with a Tennessee school? It sounds like there is some agenda here, but I can't figure it out.
Coach B.
Thanks for the info. I like some variety in the competition. It puts some spice in the game seeing new sites and competitors. Passing leagues with different schools keeps the game exciting.
