Cant wait for this game! Anyone have any thoughts on how it will play out?

i think polk will come out on top in this game.. i think people will say (as far as bradley goes) if they win well they are like a 6A school so they "should win" so nothin is proved by this game.. (however polk always plays hard and tough) and if B.C. was to lose then the big school gets beat by the smaller school which will then make people either say polk is for real and can play, or that B.C. is a joke.. should be a lot of people at this game and SHOULD be a good game.. i do believe its being called the battle of the borders or somethin like that, maybe hinting at a new rivalry??????

anyway im gonna guess Polk- 28

Bradley- 14

(just my guess though, ive not seen either team play yet and only seen polk practice once.. just goin by hear say)

FROM ANOTHER THREAD:

"After seeing BC scrimmage Friday against South Pitt, Boyd Buc, McMinn Central, and East Ridge, Charlie would give the nod to Polk, if Polk has any mobility whatsoever. Bradley was big, but SLOW, extremely slow off the ball. They have no backs like they had last year, and still no passing game to speak of. They have one kid that can outrun some folks if he gets in the open, but I don't see it happening."

the score may be worse than i predicted then.. who knows for sure though... size might be a problem for polk, kinda doubt it, but thats about the only area where polk is slacking from what i hear

Ok lets see lets see. Polk vs. Bradley? This game is a joke. Bradley may be the bigger school and all but they have not been very good in a long time. Polk has made the playoffs for like 8 or 9 straight years? Cant remember. Polk is the smaller school but by far the better team. The only thing that scares me about this game is Polk has an open week then there biggest rival McMinn Central after the Bradley game. I highly doubt this is the case but if Polk is looking past Bradley they could easily put one on them. But from my past experience Coach Davis will have them ready to go and put one on Bradley. So with all that said ima say Polk wins big.

Polk-21

Bradley-0

Thats right a shutout because Polk's d is just as strong as it was last year. :popcorneater:

I think that you may be short changing this years team, SrgEagleFort. I think that Polk is better this year. As for Bradley, they are a decent team, but from what I observed during the day of scrimmage held at Bradley with several different teams, Bradley is far from disciplined. At least 3 times they had to stop the scrimmage to break up fights with Bradley's team, and each time was with different teams. Tells me that the problem lies with Bradley, and also tells me that Davis had best have his boys ready for that. You sure don't want to loose a player for the next game for fighting in a "non-counting" game, if there is such a thing as that.

Coach Davis will have his team ready for friday night. For the fighting i know for a fact that the Polk players will not get involved with that Davis demands respect and displine and his players play with great sportsmanship. Polks D will do great friday and the offense is way better then last year so polk should have a good chance of coming out on top. And as for looking past this game that won't happen the coaches and players want this game more then Central. I'm looking forward to friday night better get there early because its going to be a packed house GO WILDCATS!!!

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
