I heard their quarterback was pretty good too.

He is an above average Qb at the level he's playing at. Kinda of a "big fish" in a "small pond" imho.

Good Athlete. Good Kid. Good Family.

Would like to have seen him compete at a higher level to see what he could do. dry.gif

I've never met the kid but have watched him develop over the past few years. I'm glad to hear he is a great kid. He seems contented in his "small pond" but I know what you mean--might have stepped up his game and really shone in the "big pond" too. :popcorneater:

He's a GREAT KID from a great family.

But we'll never know what he could have done in a "bigger pond"? :D

Personally......I think he would have done very well. :D But.................?

I went to Zion vs FRA and I was impressed with Zion (let's throw the score out of this). QB threw a good ball and took what the "D" gave him.

And moving to DII was a good move by Zion (which I questioned at first). They get away from the division they were in (6A? I think) and they can play schools they match up better with.

Are they at Webb this year or it this a home game? This game will be the toughest game left this season until they get into the playoffs.

The QB is pretty good but Wahlman makes him look good. He throws screens to him and he runs for the yardage. They are about the 6th best team in East Middle Region and won't make it far in the playoffs.

this will be the first year they've ever made it to the playoffs...but doest everyone make it to the playoffs in division II? or is that just the upper ones thats everyone gets in?

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
