Rhea Central is on top after beating Spring City. If they beat Dayton City they will be #1 and SC would be #2. If they lose then it might be a 3 way tie if Dayton City has no more conference loses besides SC.

SP 40 - Grundy 8

 

Close game for the first half. 8-8 after one and 16-8 SP at half.

 

The Pirates are VERY good. I think we could have played better and it could have been closer but the Pirates are without question the best team we've seen all year. Hopefully we can play them again in 2 weeks for all the marbles.

 

This has been a great year for this program and the coaches have done a GREAT job. Let's regroup guys, win the playoff game this week and see if we can give the Pirates a better run for their money October 15.

DL - I agree Grundy has had a great year. Congrats to all involved. And yes S. Pitt is a good team no doubt. Yes it is playoff time next week. I see the 4 best teams in the conference ( S. Pitt, Grundy, Rhea Central and Spring City ) going for all the marbles. Good luck to all.

Sequatchie County at Jasper was postponed or canceled not sure which because Jasper had to many out sick? Sequatchie was scheduled to play Whitwell, Saturday night to make up the game (Homecoming) that was canceled from a week or so ago because of rain. I haven't heard anything on score for that one.
