fan09riverdale
we'll have to see his ups, and 33 on clay co is for sure the best player in 7a, needs a jumpshot and a better rounded offensive game and this kid would be a tool excellent defender

He is a good player but he isn't even the best player on his team let alone the district. He defends well and is probably the best defensive player in the district but he has no shot. So no need to defend him beyond 5 feet. As for who is the best overall player? Who cares, let the others worry about that all JC is concentrating on is being the best TEAM! bobcatfan300
I saw where Garrett had left the Clay Co. football team. Will this change anything with basketball? He would be a huge loss for the team if it does. With him playing it certainly will be harder to beat Clay, but I like to see the best possible teams in 7A regardless if they are going to beat you or not. This kid doesn't play hard when the team is getting beat. Heard he didn't even try against Trousdale or FCS in football and that came from Clay Co. fans not anyone else. jackpot
and the year jc went to state the team they had was full of seniors still in other words the boys that went to state should have been playin over the ones that was ahead of them this clay team is young and not much experience and coach edwards will still get them therecoach edwards is a great coach but he lost a bunch last year and his teams of late have under achieved and lost to a less talented JC team in the past few years and while Garrett is one of the best athletes in district he has not produced to his ability yet and still has to prove he belongs in the elite. No doubt the talent is there with Garrett but he can't continue to not produce because without him Clay co. is just a fair team. And Clay co. has fantastic fan support but not any better than Jackson co., Clarkrange or Pickett co and when you see either of them in post season they will all turn out and cheer for each other when playing other teams. this is so true of Fan Support. All these teams have a great fan base and after reg season is done and your team is at home you can always count on your other teams to come out and cheer for you. Clay and RBS wouldn't ever cheer for each other in eg season but come playoff time You know either one will some up and cheer for the other same with all the other teams as well. They love basketball and if your team can't be in the playoff's might as well be somebody close to home. Its always great to see that kind of support. senator
This may be the most experienced team Coach Flynn has had since he's been coach. And maybe the most athletic from top to bottom but they have to improve as a team and with their size if they jell and hustle this has prospects of being one of the better teams JC has had in recent years.Proof is in the play on the court and I expect them to be good with at least 4 people leading the scores on differant nights. They may not lose a district game but could lose to anybody if they don't play together as a team.
fan09riverdale
went to check out clay co in the scrimmage and there playday saturday, roach has ups, but i seen him hit some 3's aswell and make some good moves to the basket, he looks like a 6'3 point guard. anyone know why he doesnt get to play much? is he a sophmore? and they have a 44 kid who is very relentless at hitting the boards

fan09riverdale
Roach racked up in clay co's black/gold game, HE WENT INSANE from the 3pt line!!! #22 blonde hair boy was racking up em from downtown aswell. are #10 and 22 both juniors, along with paradises boy? and Lynn has also improved alot from last year, good strong under-the-basket scorer. 05pg
i do agree alex roach was insane from the 3pt line i would say he had six three pointers. and yes he is just a junior. boles also added alot of three's as well as dylan birdwell. but i do agree the man in the middle impressed me ALOT lynn has for sure made a great recovery from the surgery and looks great down low. the younger birdwell brother also played good in the black and gold game. im excited to see these boys come tuesday night. with coach edwards having such a deep bench i would say he does the five in five out like he did last year. those juniors are something else. i dont think anybody was expecting the performace they seen last night. the dawgs dominated!
