purplepantherpride
I have seen these two teams play a few times over the last few years and follow area HS football pretty close. My prediction is Gallatin, by a landslide, perhaps 42-13... Portland doesn't have a lot of talent and I personally don't see them winning a game this year... Well, arn't you the expert. You don't see them winning a game this year? C'mon..there next three are Gallatin, Hendersonville & Mt. Juliet.
GWAVE1
How many faithful Portland Panther supporters will be there I wonder. The team is not doing well and the weather may not cooperate. If this game had been renewed 7 or 8 years ago it would have been packed.
Gville80
There's a tsunami brewing for this game.............
runninblind
Correct me if Im wrong but if memory serves me correctly Jim Barron was Gallatin's head coach the last time these 2 teams met in 1975...If so I hope the Player's , Coaches and fans dedicate this game to this great Gallatin Legend...Also my thoughts , memories and prayers go out to the Barron family.. GWAVE1
This game was never in question. Gallatin just had way too much firepower for the Panthers. Portland's offensive line could not hold back the front 3 of Gallatin which pretty much held the Panthers in check the whole game. I heard from the radio that the Wave had about 7 sacks on the night. Portland had a nice short passing game but the speed of the Wave defenders closed the gaps quickly. This game went pretty much like I had envisioned from the beginning of the season. Really not too much to add. Season gets a lot tougher from here on out for the Green Wave.
