LEBANON VS BEECH

I know one reason that caused a former all star player...now playing at navy...to switch is that Lebanon's coach doesn't like his players playing other sports.

Also heard something interesting......that the superstar QB for Friendship played freshman ball at Lebanon. From the sounds of it, most of their team are kids who used to play at Lebanon. What's up with that?

 

I think you heard wrong. Maasen was a first team all-state pick in baseball his freshman year at FC. They won state that year and he holds a couple of state tournament records. "Most" of those boys have been going there since they were little.

Either way, it doesn't have anything to do with Lebanon.

Beech is only undefeated in the district because they have only played Wilson Central. It is obvious that Wilson County teams are the cream of this crop, and Beech will be introduced to that tonight. Lebanon by two scores.

The only team introduced to anyone tonight was Lebanon to Beech's defense. Best game of the season so far by Beech in all facets of the game. They need to be playing their best with the schedule coming up. A tough Green Wave team next week followed by rival Hendersonville. If that weren't enough, finishing with Mt. Juliet. The youngsters at Beech are getting valuable reps and building confidence that will, hopefully, carry them into these last three weeks. Great game tonight for the Bucs.
