West leads South Greene 32 - 26 at half time. My Lady Rebels are playing some great ball, but they need to hit their shots. They are getting two and three chances per possession and missing them. I am listening to a Morristown station and even they are bragging on our girls. Come on Rebs, hang in there.

South Greene is behind by 15 with about 2 minutes left in the game. Rechelle Dye and Shelby Hicks have both fouled out. These Lady Rebels can't buy a basket. They are missing entirely too many points and shooting threes that shouldn't be shot. This game should be much closer.

End results are 73 - 52. It seemed like the Rebels just quit playing. Next time girls, you have the Classic, and again in 2010. SG will only improve with time. These girls are too good to give up. West has an awesome team. They should have been in state last year, and should be this year as well.

Tough Loss for South Greene, But MW is a power House. I think all of the seniors have signed to play in College, But Fanny.

District games start up this week. Greeneville has Claiborne. Maybe now we will what the new BRAC will be like. Who else has district games this week?

Greeneville is leading the confernce right now at 3-0 followed by South Greene at 2-0 at the 3 spot is Chuck-Doak 1-1 and the Claiborne at 4 also at 1-1.

 

I know Greeneville had a rough go at Claiborne winning by 2. How is the rest of the confernce?

Well, South Greene faces up against Greeneville tomorrow night at Hal-Henard, so I guess we'll see. According to some of the Greeneville fans, this is "a no contest"....lol...sure hope the Rebels shut 'em up. I'll be there for sure.

I haven't heard any Greeneville people saying that... we all know it's going to be a battle! Great rivalry - can't wait!

In the many many years that I have watched basketball in greeneville I have never seen any of the lady devil teams brag about anything. I don't believe any oof the lady devil fans believe this is a lock for a win. Anyone who watches basketball knows that this will be a fight for the lady devils. Given both teams line ups one would tend to sway towards South Greene having the advantage. South greene has more athletes across the board than the greeneville team. However Greeneville has never backed down from a fight and I believe they won't back down now!! Good luck to both and my hope is for Greeneville to win. Regardless of the outcome both teams can very well play each other 2 or 3 more times.

I've seen both teams this year. Should be a very good game. I'd have to give the edge to South Greene. I just think their experience will give them the edge. They can really shoot the ball well. Greeneville has more size, and a better inside game, but I just think South Greene will be too strong.

Don't feel bad Barb. You are one of many that underestimated this year’s team. As I have been predicting for a number of years, this year our girls are the total package – a real TEAM - and that’s why they will continue to do well.

This year's TEAM may be the worst Lady Devil team in twenty years. Last night was a BIG win for the Devils. Greeneville's physicality will win them games. They beat people around and the new BRAC teams aren't use to it... yet. Greeneville will have to get by South Greene atleast two more times maybe more. If South Greene can match their physicality then their speedier, more athletic team will win. Greeneville better be glad they are out of the IMAC this year because they'd be minor speed bumps for West, Sevier Co. and Cocke Co.
