We have now won 36 games and 4 SVC Championships in a row, We are 50-1 in the last 6 years and 72-4 in the last 9 years.

Unreal numbers. No wonder Vic never runs out of ammo. :roflol:

DL.

Yep good numbers. And like I said congratulations. But you know as well as I do that the streak will come to an end sooner or later. Word has it that the tallent is starting to fall off for awhile. Makes one wander if the coach's will stick around when this happens or jump ship.

I wouldn't get too excited just because the little league teams have struggled a bit lately. There are about 8 kids on the Jr high team this that never played LL for various reasons and a couple of them made all SVC. Coaching at the Jr High level is quite a bit different than the LL level since 2 paid positions assure that experienced coaches will be in those spots and typically the volunteers have a little more experience too. The support Coach Grider gives the Jr High program will ensure a good staff is in place.

The coaching staff completely changed 5 years ago when the previous coach moved to Lookout Valley and the program didn't collapse. Of the staff (5 of us) that started the latest run in 2005 4 were still here this year and several more have come and gone. 2 of the present staff are teachers and 4 are volunteers. I was just part time (game days only) this year due to work and may or may not even do that next year since it will be my son's senior year. I am pretty sure at least 1 of the teachers and a couple of the volunteers will be back next year (and maybe all of them) so there will be some continuity.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
