I know those four Woodward brothers are from Florida. How many kids on the team played at either Huntsville, Robbins or Fairview in middle school?

There are only 3 Woodward brothers in school & only 2 of them play football. The 3rd one isn't playing this year but hopefully he will come back out next year. I would venture to guess there's not more than a handfull, if that, who came from the county schools to play @ Oneida. What's the point you're trying to make anyway? Those kids that did come from the county schools have every right to come play @ Oneida if they choose to do so. ^_^

Is there any more "football players" getting adopted up in Oneida?

I don't know OleTiger, I might just move back to watch my oldest play for the Big Orange and Coach Wright, who I played for in Jr. High. (Great memories) ^_^

My oldest is 16, 6'2", 205 D-end for Jeff County.

You folks in Not-so-bright need to lay of the cool-aid and get a clue. Oneida should win by 25, if the game is not called for rain.

Go Big Orange, Go Patriots

I love it...25 years from now, it will be the legend of the Woodards!..."there was a clan of em....65 boys all moved up from Florida....They were 8 feet tall and could run like the wind....." All Three Woodards are a part of the Indian Tribe. Big Willie and Sam are two very good players on a team of very good players.

btw it's Hunstville, Robbins, Fairview AND Burchfield, Winfield and Oneida. Oneida is a county school too, believe it or not. Man, you only got half the story all the way around.

For 6 weeks, we have heard nothing but smack talk and now...on Tuesday! your gonna start with the excuses!

:roflol: Ole Tiger.......? Coach Lambert, on vacation, through the swamps of Polkee, Florida four years ago and found the Woodard Brothers stumbling down an old dirt road chasing rabbits! He says to himself, I'm just going to throw them kids in the back of my truck and haul them up to, of all places in the world, Oneida, Tennessee. Then we are going to convince their dad that this is the only location he can raise his family in the U.S. The real kicker here is, as tough as I'm sure it has been for them, they have stayed and I, for one, kinda admire them for doing so. In case you haven't looked around lately, life ain't easy for any of us........much less a man raising 4 kids.

Believe it or not, they have developed very well under this coaching staff. Sam has prospered because he has learned to use two valuable intruments.....his ears. He had athletic ability, but recognizing his shortfalls as a player have been very beneficial to his development, too. By listening to his coaching staff, there is no question, they will give him a great chance of playing in college somewhere. (what is a full scholarship worth these days?) Will wasn't making a whole lot of headway until this season :D. Oh, he had potential as well, but he needed more discipline. Low and behold, this season he is arguably one of Oneida's most discipline players and there is no question it has made him better.

We are happy to have them.....they are turning into really exciting players.....but you can't state for certain that would have happened just any where. Your envy is because it happened here! For that mister, you are way outta line, and Kaz says so!

hahaaha you want to talk about future college football prospects you should be talking about Jessie England of Sunbright.

6'3 215 Sophomore and just threw for 300 yards against Oliver Springs with 3 TD's. 25-43 passing IN THE RAIN.

He will light up Oneida's weak D for 400 yards+. The only reason you guys have a few shutouts is because you guys have played the worst offenses in the state. Let's see how you do against the best offense in the state.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
