District 8AA.... Post your thoughts

York is playing Stone and Midway for Hof games.

I do believe the district will be more competitive this year. The edge will still be with LA till someone knocks them off. I don't mean any direspect to any of the other teams. because cannon and Dekalb have some really good players returning just like York does. All these teams have got to be mentally tough and focused to slay the wildcats because that is what they will try to do to everyone else.

I know Cannon is scheduled to host a play day on the 14th i believe and they have Bledsoe Co. and Warren Co. for HOF games

Isn't CC hosting a play day Oct. 7th?

Just thought I'd revive this old topic. Everyone had pre-season thoughts. Now that the season is nearing the end, how does everyone see the district shaping up? I think York is coming on strong at just the right time.

York came up with a huge win at Upperman last night. First time in years I know of that happening. York even played awful the first half. I believe we could see some good games at tech this year. LA is looking better since I saw them last also. LA is still top.

Upperman plays at Grundy Co. tomorrow. What's your predictions?

Any thoughts on the All-District team ? TJ Smith-MVP and Davenport are easy choices. Stephens-York, Willouby-DC ?

Well, it seemed like Upperman got their confidence knocked down a notch after losing to Grundy.. I'm more suprised that no one has mentioned it yet.

I don't know if it's considered an upset, but Cannon lost by about 20 to DeKalb on Friday. Where will that put everybody in the rankings?

That should put Dekalb in fourth place. York beat the Bees at Upperman the other night

I think York is the 2nd best team in this district right now. They will be difficult come tourney time.

It seems LA and York are the only ones in 8AA doing anything at the end of the season. I look forward to seeing some good games at district if thes two play each other. Go Dragons
