Top team honors probably went to Dyer County but Sycamore HS gave them all they wanted before falling by 1. It was a one possession game under 20 seconds and Sycamore missed a free throw box out which made them have to foul again. Sycamore hit a three as time expired to give them the 1 point loss.

I think the most impressive team was West Creek. If I'm coaching in District 10-AAA, I'm probably scratching my head a little bit because West Creek really looked good. New school or not they're gonna win some games once they get it together. Sycamore is right up there, those kids really play hard and they seem to go fairly deep into the bench. Northwest didnt play for disciplinary reasons. I was not very impressed with Kenwood however, Dee Smith is a stud but undiscplined at times. Jackson Central Merry seemed to just blend in but Keneal Windom is really good.

    • Siegel Middle School is looking for a Head Wrestling Coach. This will be the 3rd year that the school has had a program, but the Stars have had a middle school team for a while now. This is program is established and has a club team (Stars) feeding it with wrestlers.    Siegel High School is looking for an assistant coach. Again, this program is growing with talent every year. This past year we had 2 state placers.    If interested you can send an email to starstnwrestlingclub@gmail.com or freemand@rcschools.net

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
