However, the Massey ratings pick Eagleville 20-13.

But, I think it could go either way.

Eagleville was in the old region 5. Everyone from the region thought that they would be a perennial power in 1A due to the fact that they were in Rutherford Co. Most assumed that some players who couldn't start at the bigger area schools (Blackman, Lavergne, Oakland, Riverdale, Siegel, & Smyrna) would maybe transfer to Eagleville. Apparently it doesn't/can't work that way. Same goes for MTCS, pull from the big schools. I think the Jury is still out on them. I gotta think E'ville wins this one pretty easy. I know nothing about Monterey though.

Well no doubt Monterey has played the tougher schedule, and I think this will prove to be the difference in this one. Wildcats represent Region 4 with a 14 point victory! Good luck from TC.

I wasn't really wowed by Eagleville last week, a very simplistic offense. Not a lot to it and their defense very basic, I did not understand why they did not blitz more in passing situations. They do play very hard and disciplined. Contrary to what some believe, they played the much tougher schedule. Eagleville's schedule strength is ranked 14 and Monterey's is 38. Eagleville will win in a low scoring affair. This Eagleville team plays hard but not as good as the 2005 playoff team, that team had little more athletic talent. Go Eagles.

Maybe this team can meet JB in the playoffs and beat em. The '05 team was pretty good; I don't think they've been that good since then.
