Haha how embarrassing is it gonna be to get whooped by a team that hasnt won a playoff game in 40 years???? these kids can play. SS can play. I think theres a reason that both these teams are in the 5A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. Columbia has to have skill to get here, you dont get lucky 4 weeks in a row in the playoffs, same with sullivan... the game knows. We'll find who's more worthy Friday night.... Right?

i read earlier about some1 saying bring a lawnchair and sit on the bowl in the south endzone. In my opinion i wouldn't advise it.

Okay good greif I was being a little fesicious (smart a..) Don't bring a lawn chair, You'll roll down the hill like one of those blow up balls that people pay 55 bucks a pop in Myrtle Beach to roll down a sand dune inside. C'mon my point, there is enough seating.

im saying this because any1 that has been to a central game in the past 3 weeks will know what im talking about when i say it gets a lil wild in the bowl.

i can't really say why and i don't want any1 else to say why either. it'll all be revealed friday

The cop/coach is hot headed guess he wont run over and get in the other coaches face again :thumb: They got film on the hole thing. He has to protect his refs they are the main reason you guys are still in it. To bad they wont be doing this game you guys will need to win this one on your own :hungry: Good luck :roflol: Lets Go SS!!!!!

Yes it will get a lil wild in the bowl Friday night, but it might not be what you are thinking. From what I am hearing, the REBEL NATION is going to have a strong march to Columbia. Bringing with them a SOUTH TEAM that Ulysses S. Grant would have not wanted to face.

GO REBELS!

Johnny Rebel, before you fight the Civil War again, I hate to tell you this, but East Tennessee mostly faught with Ulysses S. Grant, not against him. Corn won't grow a'tal on Rocky Top.... Soil to rocky by far. There is no good row crop land over there in hill/mountain country. Middle and Western Tennessee is why more battles were faught in Tennessee than any other state but Virginia. While you're here though, I recommend an Antibellum Mansion tour of the houses over here, as well as visits to the Battle of Franklin, Shiloh, Murfreesboro, Lookout Mountain and so forth. Thousands upon thousands on both sides gave their lives up, even within a few minutes span. When you get off on the Saturn Parkway, you'll drive right by Haynes Haven and Rippavilla. Stop in at Rippavilla. It must have beat the heck out of living in a mountain shack, but the South lost and it's no sense in looking back.

But if a fighting Grant is a must, bring your Confederate Flags to the south end of the end zone. Wave them back and forth for a as long as you can hold it up, well, even five minutes would be good, and whistle DIXIE. :hungry:

I think it is great that SS and Columbia have this great support from the fans. We look forward to seeing the visiting stands packed Friday night. How many buses were you able to fill up? Have a great Thanksgiving and be safe on the drive down. Welcome to the Lions Den!

Football is a game. South plays with pride, works hard and shows true sportsmanship, win or lose. They and their fans are gentlemen and ladies on and off the field.

If you need a fight, go watch some cage fighting you have on your DVR. I hope you have no influence on any of these kids. The world has enough thugs.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
