I believe the Cats will be just fine. Like everybody has said they are losing alot of Seniors, but I think the underclassmen will pick up rite where this years Seniors left off. GO CATS!!

Next years Juniors & Seniors have been just as successful (if not a little more) than this years seniors throughout the past years from peewee & middle school. This was an awesome year & this years seniors have set the pace for the years to come and those guys will be missed greatly. Thank you seniors for setting such a high bar for the rest to follow. I think that the next 2 years will be great ones as well. There are going to have to be several guys step up though and the size & speed will be there.

We lose #2 Berry WR/DB, #5 Graham RB/DB, #6 Shull WR/DB, #8 Crews RB/LB, #38 Kelly TE/LB, #41 Warren RB/LB, #51 Franks DL, #54 Garret OL/DL, #60 Littrel OL/DL, #62 Stricklan OL/DL, and #76 Bowling OL/DL. I believe all but one were starters.

These guys are going to be big loses no doubt. 4 or 5 of them are probably going to be all region as well. The postive thing about this year is most of the time these guys only played 2/3 of a game then the younger guys played the rest of the game. Next years OL & DL will come in with some experience as well as bigger than this years OL & DL on the average per player. This years OL averaged about 215 lbs. with 1 maybe 2 players being larger than that (Strick being the big man). Next year's OL will average about 230/240 lbs. and these guys will come in with a little playing time under their belt. When you look at this years OL only 2 players (Bowling & Strick) played any at all the year before. There were 3 new starters on the OL this year & 2 of them will be back next year.

I think that I may have an idea (after talking to some players) of what the starting line up will be for next year as of now.

Offense

QB- Tyler Rice

Running backs- Clint Butler, Nick Horton, maybe Drew Bevis

Receivers- Austin Rice, Hayden Skelton, and Drew Bevis

Tight-End- Lucas Pepinger

OL-

Center- Dakota Willis

Guards- Daylon Teftaller, Jacobe Brewer

Tackles- Boston Ray, Cheynne Reeves

DL-

Defensive-Ends- Eric Garland, Jacobe Brewer

D-Tackles- Boston Ray, Daylon Teftaller

Linebackers-

Middle- Lucas Pepinger, Nick Horton

Outside- Clint Butler, Maybe Drew Bevis, Don't know any others can't remember

Secondary-

Safty- Austin Rice

Corners- Maybe Drew Bevis, Tyler Rice and Hayden Skelton

Other potential starters and/or backups

Jacob Ray, Austin Duke, Daniel Rombagh, Jason Bratcher, Carson Kelly, New kids #30 and #40, Zach Clayton, Logan Self, *Dillion Keating if they can get him to come back, and there may be others that I can't remember. Sorry if I misspelled any names.

Anyway there is a look at things, there is still alot of experience on the team. These kids just need to step up, I think we will still be contenders. Go Cats. :roflol:

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
    • It seems we lost a ton to graduation. We shall see how it shapes up for 2024.
