Yes he would as he is a good coach, but you have to ask "Can you afford him"? Even coaches at 1A schools in Rutherford County make more than 6A schools in FC.

 

Added to this the bad rep the county has earned in how it treated its last two HC's and it is surprising any would apply period.

joshlin from cookville has applied and he would be great.he has a great reputation and has built a great program at cookville/so far this is the best choice by far including the famous MAC MCCURRY

Either of those guys would be great selections.I'd love to see Mac come back.District 8 AAA would definitley become alot more interesting!

Rumor is he wants to go to Moore County. Steve is headed to coach in Rutherford Co.

 

The question is will Mac take the pay cut and put up with no 4th block athletics? If Mac gets the job the coach at south middle will probably come and work for him at the high school and that means a PE position at the high school will have to be created.

It will be a $60,000 dollar job, and i doubt Mac will come for that. and to be honest i really dont think he is right for the job. Franklin Co. needs someone that can walk the halls and get every player out and also work the Community to get their support. He will not want to be in a class room which he will have to be and that will not work for him.
