Greenfield Boys

I know the record is not where we would like it to be at this time, but I just want to say as a fan I see the improvements that the boys are making. The two wins this week against Perry County and Clarksburg were both big wins and show that things are going in the right direction. Good luck boys and keep playing hard.

The Jackets are young. It will be interesting to see if they improve after the Christmas break. And, the schedule is favorable for a lot better record as well. So, after the Christmas break, if they are really improving and getting better, maturing, then we'll see them get a lot more W's. Maybe they can finish at 500 or better???

Next year, we should have a very good team. Especially if some boys will grow a couple of inches and fill out.

Greenfield boys are playing alot better the last two games. I still havent gotten over how in the world we lost to Bradford, that has to be close to an alltime low for many many years. Greenfield should very easily be 6-6 or better. We should be fighting it out in this tough district for 4th place but right now we are 0-5. We have two of the best players in the district in Wes Clark and Heath Crouse and we have alot of young talent. Sophmore, Graham Perkins is getting better every game. Freshman, Tony Robinson is a player with a great upside but very little playing time. Freshman, Hunter Crouse is going to be a player but no playing time. We have many others that contribute and there's no reason that we cant be competitive and build at the same time.

I want to agree with you volfan about next year but those good young players are just sitting on the bench and they are not getting any better while they are sitting.

Agree with you on some of the talented young players, but how many teams do you know that are successful with a four guard offense? The Perkins kid is improving but does he match up with the post players in the rest of the district? Try and remember this is the toughest district around and Coach Angelos and the boys are giving it everything they have. It is easy to sit back and say who should be playing without any accountability for your decision. I think the right people are playing for the most part, and they are improving. Just an opinion!!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
