Don't know alot of names just some that I know in my area:

Christian Salter - Sharpshooters

boykin, kennedy, mathews and a 125lber - all from sharpshooters - all possible state champs, plus have other tough kids as well

weist, walpole, nathan(sorry last name escapes me right now), williams - Mount juliet - have some other tough kids but i do not know names

michael and john Kramer, john mIchael jenkinson, austin richards, lane dickeson, travis forte. Don't know if they will be state champs but all are pretty tough. club has some other tough kids too. Michael kramer has won states last 3 years in a row( 2 in michigan and 1 in TN)

thats all i know in this area. Don't know the nashville catholic kids but they are usually pretty good.

sharpshooters is a well ran and coached club and produces many state champs, mt juliet has alot of kids and good coaching. Wildcat club is just in its second year but did have a pair of state champs last year and a few other all staters.

This is what I was hoping to see out of this post. It is great to see Middle TN develop as a powerhouse in the state. I think you will see alot of Middle TN kids do very well at state this year. They have all been impressive at the tournaments this year. Even when we have traveled down south to Chattanooga our kids are starting to hold their own. We shall see. Can't wait for state.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
