After looking up Tennessee kids , Elijah Oliver placed in the top 6 twice while wrestling for the Harvey Twisters, but lost to his team mate each time. Eli King won Tulsa at 12u at 88lbs. He beat Andrew Merola in the finals and Joe Lee in the semis, He made the finals 3 other times, but only won it once. He lost to Kaden Gfeller , Jaden Mattox, and not sure the other kid each in the finals. Placed 3rd at 95 at 15/under. He lost in the finals at Reno that year to Andrew Merola who wrestles for Blair and signed with Cornell. Mason Reinche won Tulsa at 12/under as well. Reinche will be wrestling for Cornell in college. Look to see Mason doing very well at the next level.

Did Eli King participate in tne middle school duals?

Tennessee AAU should never allow an out of state wrestler to compete in the regional or state. If it is a rule, then it's a dumb rule. Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, and Alabama would not allowa Tennessee wrestler to compete in their state tournament regardless of how close they live or train from the border. Some of you guys that are for it will eventually get burned by the rule if your child loses a state championship to a Va. or GA. kid. Actually you won't get burned; your child will. Why do we allow kids from other states enter our state tournament? Is it because our numbers aren't good or is it the below level competiton?

Can nashville catholic compete with the chatt programs? Any future Watsons or Robinsons?

Any up and coming talent from the middle schoolers? How did McCallie look. Here MBA is loaded this year with fine young talent. Just want to here about our future young wrestlers.

Can Any Nashvile Catholic kids at 70-80 compete with those Chattanooga kids?

Who looked good at the district tournaments this weekend? Did Hammonds from sharpshooters have any competition? Can anyone in the Juniors or middle school compete with the Chattanooga kids for the state crown? Sorry for all of the questions

Eli King(midget 68) lost in overtime in the finals to finish 2nd

Did not know BGA still had a wrestling team nor any wrestlers that actually competed this year

For good wrestlers, stalling means you have good position on your opponent.

Leen in the finals with a 9-2 win. Marable got hosed in the semis and lost 4-2. The announcers said the takedown awarded to Perry with 27 seconds left was the worst call they have seen in the tournament. Cody Cleveland seems to have at least wrapped up All-American. Tennessee natives looking tough!

I know Eli's dad and he could care less if he loses at this age. If you ever been around him, he thinks every one is as good as his son. At this age, as long as they are learning the proper technique ,winning means nothing.

We went to the tournament with Eli King and some NCW kids in Chattanooga when Eli King lost twice. He is a true 60 lb wrestler who wrestled 70lbs in the midget and junior. He lost to Jack Barber from Atlanta Georgia once in the midget and once in the junior division . Barber was the only wrestler to beat him. I heard his dad or coach wrestled him up for the experience knowing full well Barber would beat him. These kids are young, we will see what the road holds for them in the future.

How did the other Nashville Catholic wrestlers do? Baker and Mosely are both beasts!
