Was at the USN v St. George game last year and Lyles outplayed Parks jr. Toney wasn't even a factor in the game. Do not see him being up for Mr. BBALL. Lyles, is legit, Tarwater from KWEBB is a 6'5 post who can shoot the 3. Those two I've seen and would say are definites for the nominees. Haven't seen glover but have heard alot about him.

Gotta also give a nom to my boy Asa Toney of St George. John Ross -J-Rock- and Asa will be pairing off this Friday at St George. Two possible Mr. Basketball's in same game.

Asa put it on JCS with over 35 points. He is really the only thing that St. George has but the team can get the ball to him. Agreed he is not a Lyles or Glover but he is a player. Saw him twice this year.

Lyles may average 30, but he also probably puts up nearly 30 shots. One game, he literally took a shot on 13 straight possesions. Plays virtually no defense at all. Wouldn't doubt if he couldn't guard a paper bag.

I would also agree, but watching them play I would say that most of the plays his coach draws up call for him to shoot. As for the defensive part. The games I've seen he was not as bad as I've heard.

So other than John Ross Glover and Mykeo Lyles for DIIa who else is out there? Are there not 3 nominated?

TARWATER (WEBB KNOX), MOBLEY (MBA), PRICE (MCCALLIE), ELDER (ENSWORTH), McFADDEN (ENSWORTH) AND PLAYERS CBHS IS ALL I HEAR. ALONG WITH LYLES AND GLOVER LEADING THE PACK. MY FINALIST ARE LYLES, GLOVER AND TARWATER. IF ELDER PLAYED ON A TEAM WITH A REGULAR ROTATION, HE WOULD BE TOP THREE ALSO AS A FROSH.

D2A is the Myles kid from USN hands down. His stats are out of this world. Reminds me of John Jenkins at Vanderbilt.

D2AA Corn Elder from Ensworth freshman. He is plays lock down defense, incredibly good handle of the ball, can drain a three from anywhere, can use shifty moves and drive to the basket, leads ensworth in assists, gets steals like none other, not to mention he is normally the best athlete on the court.

    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
    • Heard Seq has gotten a lot stronger this off season. Can’t wait to see how the boys do this year
