AAU Teams in Memphis

Is there an AAU team for July, 1994 130 lb wrestler in the Memphis Area?

AAU doesn't have a presence in the Memphis area. All the events and teams around Memphis are USAW affiliated. Some teams have their kids enroll in AAU however so that they can compete in out of area tournaments like those in Middle Tennessee.

Thanks so much. We have done that and are wrestling out of there. I appreciate your info as I didn't know about the other affiliation.

I think the Mustang wrestling club and the Wave wrestling club are AAU.

Actually, yes I believe you are right, both of those Clubs are registered on the TN AAU website, although they are also USAW. Arlington Wrestling Club has it's wrestlers registered in AAU as well as USAW while the club itself is chartered via USAW. I think several clubs do that. I know that St. Benedict's youth club, Houston's, and Arlington were all at the Heartbreak Classic at Clarksville last weekend, and that is an AAU event.
