Maryville-William Blount

It's time to move on to W.B. Blount probably has the best defense we have seen. The held Central to 14, Soddy Daisy to 13, and Ooltewah to 10. Josh Lawhon is very good at MLB. They have a pretty nice passing game as well. Plus coming off a big win at Morristown West, will we be ready? Can we keep that focus? Great teams do. It would make Blount's season to knock us off and they are capable, just ask D-B in the playoffs last year. So get ready Rebs, put M-W behind you and let's achieve one of our goals, the Blount County Championship. ONE GAME AT A TIME. ALL THE WAY TO THE 'BORO. Go Rebs.

Maryville 49- WB 10

Wojo is good but the Maryville D will pressure him harder than any one all year. The secondary can contain Russle and the line and backers will stop that back. Lawhon is really good, but not enough.

My Pick is 31-7, Maryville. The Govs are very good defensively, but their offense was pretty anemic against Ooltewah. The Rebels have just too many weapons for WB

We'll see. Hope Carl and Lucas are okay

Could it be MHS on top 35-0 at the half again......and the second team scoring two in the third....then WB scoring in the fourth...followed by an interception by the Red Rebels for the final score??? (This could get old)

If the grind is to go on...: MHS 49 - WB 7

Who knows?

Reguards to the Board!

Maryville will win 35-7.

William Blount will have the best defense Maryville has seen this year. They are quick and they will hit you. Lawhorn is a stud. Their problem is they can throw the ball fairly well but they have no running game at all.

I expect William Blount to play like wildmen friday night.

Maryville needs to be ready to play. I believe they will be.

    • While one may be inclined to perceive this narrative through a lens of fiction, it behooves us to recognize the inherent robustness of its credibility. For those seeking veracity, the surest path lies in direct engagement with the primary source. Let us adhere diligently to the matter at hand, focusing our deliberations on the matter of paramount importance: the identification of the individual most suited to assume the mantle of head coach. I invite introspection and discourse regarding not only personal preferences but also the criteria defining merit and suitability for this esteemed position.
    • If it’s one single kid then that argument would make sense. He’s essentially had to replace his entire coaching staff in the first two seasons, and like it’s been pointed out only one left for a better job. The two most talented players in the area both left, and number of others are actively trying to leave, including the head basketball coaches son. Also, the rumors of financial problems and over spending by Jones. Unpaid bills, missing money, inability to fundraise, has the boosters sick of being hit up for money.    Im saying that is the definition of a poorly run disorganized program. If you want to pretend it’s a well oiled machine maybe you should take your maroon glasses off. All I know is I wouldn’t let my boys play in that kind of mess.
    • It usually gets tiresome when posters play characters on the board, but I must admit that I’ve found some humor in wingback’s take on this art form.  However, his rundown on the potential candidates seems as much fiction as his persona!
