I believe any teams coach at this stage will have their team ready to play, it's all a matter of which team executes their game plan the best.

Dodson carries the team but gets big support down low and help from her young gaurds.

I really wasn't expecting a 33 point loss there..that's unfortunate for the Lady Cats, a talented and young team led by an outstanding senior leader. This team will be a force to be reckoned with in the following years.

I completely agree with previous post. Santa Fe was not there. It's almost like they needed to be introduced to what a b-ball was. It was a terrible display of basketball on their end and WC just took advantage of that. Dodson did not play well at all, White looked like she was shooting the ball completely from the side and there's just not much more to say. Shots did fall for Hemphill but didn't do any good it was just to far gone. Sad way to end the season. But, next year they will be the team to reckon with. With Freshman-- Hemphill, Sophomores--White, Warf, Thompson, and Faukner, I say they will win the District and Region. Better luck next year SF!! Good job on a winning season - Good luck to Dodson in the future!

Santa Fe should be a strong contender next year, but you should know most of the teams in 12a are also young. WC only loses one player, Jordan Risner. Loretto only loses one player, a nonstarter. Stown will not lose anybody for a couple more years, being that they have 4 sophomores-Harville, Grooms, Graham & Smith, 3 freshmen-Long, Kilburn & Ferguson, and several strong 8th graders. Good luck to the Lady Eagles in the Region 6a championship! And thanks for such a great season, we are proud of you.

Exactly right eaglefan. Basically the same teams in D12A next year, but they'll be older and better. D12A will be a battle in 2010-11. I'm a WC fan, but Willard is THE BEST COACH without question in D12A....heck prolly one of the best in TN. Incredible teacher and motivator....gets more out of his players than anybody else. Wish we could have him back in WC!!!

Willard has to get the most out of his players, he only has 8. haha He has ran everybody else off. That has hurt him in the years past. There was a couple of years where he could have won the state tournament (or at least went) if he would not have run girls off. He should be a guys coach, they can take the intensity better, and the language. haha Congrats to him for making it to the Region Finals and the Sub-State. Good luck

Ha...well maybe so.....but that kind of coaching hasn't hurt Rick Insell to much. I grant you that in 20 years when Willard's players look back on their high school careers, they'll be super thankful to have had a coach that was as intense as he was. They'll understand that its that kind of intensity that it takes to be good at anything in life. Again, WC fan but wouldn't be surprised one bit if they upset WC tonight. I'm hoping both of them make it to M'boro....and with Forrest going down, it just might happen. Go D12A!
