Division II-A matchups

So I was trying to figure out who Knox Webb plays in the final four and read the following in the TSSAA basket ball handbook:

The winners of the quarterfinal round games shall advance to the central tournament site.

The State Tournament shall be a four team single elimination tournament. The bracket shall be set by

the Executive Director upon completion of the quarterfinal round games.

Wow, seems that the Executive Director gets to hand pick the matchups. Why isn't the bracket set from the start so everyone knows who plays who next?

Saw the ECS vs. Knox Webb game last night and ECS has a good team. Both teams were evenly matched and played hard. Refs weren't really a factor either way which was nice for a change as I have seem some atrocious officiating this year. Anyway, in the end Tarwater and Whiteside were the difference with Sampson having a very good game as well. I'm sure ECS is not liking Knox Webb so much this year as they have now been put out of the playoffs in both football and basketball by the Spartans.

The semi-final games will look like this

Knox Webb vs. Bell Buckle Webb

USN vs. St. George

According to the TSSAA site:

Knox Webb will play St. George's

USN vs. Webb School of Bell Buckle

Lots of upsets last night....definitely didn't see Webb going to Lausanne and winning.....thought ECS would beat Knox Webb....

Seems to me Webb Bell Buckle really slowed down the pace of the game, being the score that it was.

And I always thought ECS and Knox Webb we're evenly matched up.

I look for the Knox Webb/St. George's game to be a good game. Apparently Knox Webb is playing good bball to take down ECS. I'll take the Spartans.

Looks like to me unless USN completely implodes, they will at least be in the finals. They blasted Bell Buckle by at least 30 in both games they have played them. It is tough to beat a team 3 times, and I'm sure the old "stall-ball" routine might come out in tournament play.

Knox Webb vs. USN in the finals.....should be a good game.

    • Remember when 92 got a call from the coaches wife telling him to stop criticizing ole Flip Flops?  Said it was hurting his feelings.  Can't make this stuff up.  What a circus.  That may have been it for 92, probably the last loyal fan left.

    • My esteemed interlocutor, regrettably, I find myself bereft of your contact information. Moreover, it behooves me to clarify that I do not currently occupy the esteemed position of coach. Were I to hold such a position, rest assured, trepidation towards yourself and your team would find no foothold within my disposition. Permit me to opine that Gallatin's achievements appear, in my estimation, notably devoid of commendable accolades, save for the distinguished presence of Volunteer State, where my progeny, with admirable distinction, attained scholastic honors. Securing the contact information of the newly appointed head coach upon their assumption of duties should pose no undue challenge for me.
