2010 Columbia State Commitments

We are very happy to welcome the following players to the Charger Baseball family for the 2010-2011 season. It is super exciting to have these young men joining our program. Each one of these student-athletes are outstanding young men and will have an immediate impact on our program on and off the field.

 

(RHP/INF) Austin Carter Cordova HS

Austin is a hard throwing right-hander that we clocked 87-91 this fall. He possesses a very hard slider for the high school level that ranges 77-81.

 

(INF) Tyler Bigler Spring Hill HS

Tyler is a tenacious middle infielder that possesses a plus arm and great hands. Surprising pop at the plate.

 

(OF) Kyle Brochu Spring Hill HS

Kyle is a plus defender with an excellent arm from the outfield. He is a top of the order hitter and serious base stealing threat.

 

(INF/P) Jonathan Reagan William Blount HS

A physically gifted athlete at 6'4 195. Jon is a mid to upper 80's guy off the mound and tremendous bat speed at the plate.

A big catcher at 6'3. Jordan has great flexibility behind the dish and projects as a shut down catcher.

 

(OF) Nick Howell Beech HS

Nick is a great outfielder who will hit for power from the left side. He will receive some interest from professional scouts.

 

(1B/C) Donald Nolan Quebec, Canada

Another physically gifted young man at 6'3 215. Donald is a middle of the order hitter with a great swing path.

(INF) Corey McPherson Johnson City, TN

A switch hitting infielder who plays extremely hard. Corey is a 3 year starter for the Hill Toppers.

(RHP) Drew Padgett - Clarksville, TN

Drew is a two sport standout at Rossview HS and built like a tailback. He is another mid to upper 80's right-hander with a power slider.

I big addition to our program....no pun intended. 6'7" right-hander from Loretto High School by way of Lambuth University.

 

(RHP) Clint Wright - Lawrenceburg, TN (Lambuth University)

Clint is a big, power right-hander that has a tremendous upside. He will pitch 86-89 and flash low 90's. I look for him to be a weekend starter for us in the spring.

(RHP) DW Whitson Unicoi, TN

 

DW is a very projectable RHP who has a ton of upside. We had him at 84-89 this spring topping out at 91-92 in the district tournament. At 6'5 he should develop into a workhorse type arm.

 

 

(INF) Holden Tolley Unicoi, TN

 

Holden is a tremendous athlete who can play a number of positions. His has the athleticism and arm strength to battle for playing time. He was a lead-off guy for his state championship participating Blue Devils.
